7 Must Know Faust Combos for Guilty Gear Strive - 1.10
Faust has never been a better Spot and since Perspective drives performance; let me SHOW you how much potential he has now. These BNB combos should be all you guys need to pick the Scalpel once again. And this is just scratching the surface. P = Punch
K = Kick
CS = Close Slash
FS = Far Slash
HS = Heavy Slash
D = Dust
J = Jumping
Jc. = Jump Cancel
CH = Counter Hit
RRC = Red Roman Cancel
PRC = Purple Roman Cancel
~ = pressing the second input immediately after the first.
*Inputting Up (8), Down (2), Left (4), or Right (6) Twice before the Roman Cancel will move your character during the RC. We call this Roman Cancel Drifting. It'll be written as: 66RRC (This would be a Red RC drift Forward)
Combo Notation:
Anti- Air 5K combo:
5K, 236S, [3] for the first 3 hits of 236S and [1] for the last, CS, JcJS, JHS, 5K, JcJD, 6HS
- [X] = Hold direction
- If you don't Hold [3] ↘ for the first three hits and, [1] ↙ for the last the pop needed for CS will not happen.
Uncharged 5K Combo:
5D, 66RRC~5K, JcJS, JHS, FD, 5K, JcJS, JD, 6HS
- 2K is multi hitting Low so be sure to mix up the timing of the 5D Overhead
CounterHit J.2K Combo
CH J.2K, 236S, CS, JcJD, 66BRC, JD, 5K, 6HS, 41236K
CounterHit 2S Combo
CH 2S, FD, CS, JcJS, JHS, 5K, JcJS, JHS, 5K, 6HS
- Faust Crouch animation allows to Low profile a lot of different Moves. Which setups for this counter Hit.
Afro Instant Overhead JS Combo
JS, JD, Afro Explode, FD, CS, JcJS, JHS, FK, 6HS
- The Fro is what allows JS to be able to hit so be sure to work the command grab into your gameplan.
Afro Low 2D Combo
2D, 66RRC~CS, JcJS, JHS, JcJD, Afro Explode, 5K, 6HS, 41236K
- Depending on the situation you may get a counter hit 2D so you don't need to use meter for a combo extension.
Counter Hit 6HS Combo
CH 6HS, 41236K[4], HS, RRC~214K, 5K, 6HS, 41236K, FD, 632146HS
- Activate the RC slightly after you hit the Sweet spot, it'll create the timing you need for the scarecrow to hit perfectly. If your Fast RC is Purple you delayed RC too long
- If your Close to the corner you can hold [4] to move faust out of the corner during scarecrow,
- Use the Dash macro to get in position for the Overdrive cause you buffer the inputs while your holding it
- if your Fast RC is Purple you delayed RC too long
