Anyhow, 6P change is great, because 6P was pretty much his universal ender from lights, and now it safely goes into items/better neutral.
6P on block is still hella suss. Probably even more now given this game's damage.
j2K:
We're going to have to see if j2K got any changes
If not to attack level, then landing recovery
We never checked if it had extra rec in the beta, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's why it was so shit on block (Even if it was a level 1 or 2 move)
j2K is going to be reserved for throw traps with item covers, reaction whiff punishes from an air state, and bigly reads.
Still has good use as a counterpoke in neutral against far.S style normals
If j2K is no longer CH recovery, even better.
jSH:
jSH is still a juice string. It might actually replace j2K as a counterpoke.
(In hindsight, I should probably use it more in this situation in Xrd and +R as well... :thinking: )
It's a fast, low-crushing string that works from far.S range that's + on block and challenges air options.
I think it's more powerful in Strive.

Items Toss:
I think there's something to be said about creating a situations where items get "out of control", is there a limit on item tosses? I don't think there is, or at least it's more generous now.
Defensive Options:
Fuzzy jump j2K OS is still going to be a go-to defensive tool in this game, depending on how throw protection pans out. Fuzzy jump > jSH also sounds like super hard to punish
The reason why these "early hitting on back jump" options are good is you'll have people shimmying like in SFV, or standing there and playing reactively to punish throw breaks.
Both j2K and jS sort of throw a wrench into this.
j2K will only be good here if you have bar to RC
jS will be the go-to falling meterless option
Leo seems pretty short, so I'm confident most characters will have to hold the jH if they stand block jS
Backdash:
Backdash doesn't seem invuln :pensive:
100t Weight: Given the reward from throw, and the lack of comboability from weight... this... actually sets up a really safe and good throw attempt?
Snip Snip Snip is so lopsided for Faust behind item cover in this game.
Throw:
OTG 2H xx Item Toss seems advantageous enough.
PRC (Raw Slowdown RC): Seems + post activation, much like YRC.
I imagine it functions similarly.
This creates a pretty concrete throw mix with a huge payoff if you let a cS rip, I think.
If the slowdown protects your whiff recovery of the command grab, that's good too.
End Commentary
The rest of his stuff looks pretty self-explanatory.
This Faust is definitely a Faust player.

It doesn't, but you can Teleport FastRC Grab
It also combos as a confirm in this way from 6H stagger
So for a "from downtown" option it's a decent use of 50 bar
I think once people adjust to your grab game, covering your airthrows with items will be a good use of your advantage
Gap covered with airthrow > projectile puts them in blockstun if they don't jump > uncovered throw mix.

And there were no limits on how many and when you could throw items in beta 1

So you have 2D for longer knockdown time or 6P for more spacing for combo enders
I don't think j.2K into j.236S worked in beta 1 but Faust did it....on counterhit. Not sure if it will work on normal hit
