Small Mistakes become Losing Errors - Tekken Quick Tip
Small Mistakes become Losing Errors - Tekken Quick Tip
The nice thing with knockdown is that the follow-up okizeme is almost always 100% consistent. Like Attack Throws, you need to know your best options AHEAD OF TIME to maintain control of (possibly) chaotic situations. Lastly, don't walk into the wall, when it's not necessary. Blocking is Often the Best Option - Tekken Quick Tip
Why should you be afraid of a 50/50? It's part of the game and despite what people might think, very few 50/50s are actually "scary". Exploit opponent character's weaknesses to strategize an effective offense and at the same time, don't be afraid to just hold back. Are +Frames better than Knockdown? (Spoiler: No) - Tekken Quick Tip
Are +Frames better than KND?: Not even counting Wall Splat (W!), it's typically better to Knockdown (KND) your opponent simply because it drastically lowers the options available to them. The less your opponent can do, the easier they are to predict. Exploit your opponent's BAD punishment - Tekken Quick Tip
While maximizing punishment is important, making sure you don't perform the *wrong* punish can be even more crucial. Bait out your opponent's tendencies to put them in a situation that they might not be immediately comfortable with, then destroy them for making a simple mistake. 3 things all (intermediate) players must know - Tekken 7
3 things all (intermediate) players must know - Tekken 7
While doing the "Mighty Ruler Challenge", these are the three things I found to be most important to breaking into Purple Ranks and pushing into Blue Ranks. #1: Punishment "break points" - Consistency is king and any consistent punish that forces your opponent to respect you is worth its weight in gold. Focus on your strongest i10, i12, i14, and i15 punishers with natural hit launching options (obviously) being the most preferred. #2: Moves that naturally track - Homing moves aren't universally your best option(s) to stop your opponent from stepping. Not every character can be blessed with Alisa, Eliza, or Jin Standing 4. So finding your best move(s) to stop step to the left and right is typically better than your character's slower homing move. #3: Consistent wall combos - Since it's now incredibly easy to find your combo options thanks in part to Season 3's improved combo section in the training mode, that's not so heavily weighted anymore. Instead, I can't tell you how many times I've died due to difficult or inconsistent wall combos which instead gets me launched by my opponent when they drop out. 00:00 Introduction 01:36 Punishment Break Points (e.g. i10, i12, i14, and i15) 06:59 Moves that naturally track (not counting homing) 13:04 Consistent wall combos
