📻 On World Car-Free Day, journalist Matej Praprotnik and his team at RTV Slovenija broke with tradition. Instead of car traffic updates, the radio gave its airtime to people walking and cycling, inviting listeners to share the daily obstacles they face on the streets. 🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️ By handing the microphone to those usually left out of the traffic story, they flipped the script and opened up a wider debate about what mobility updates SHOULD be about. 🏆 Matej Praprotnik is now nominated for the Frictioneer Award at our upcoming Gridlock Event: a celebration of those who create constructive resistance to shake urban systems out of autopilot. 🪄 Sometimes friction is refusing the default, and showing that another perspective is possible.
