The first electric Lexus is based on the UX crossover and is called the UX 300e. The Japanese electric car is powered by a 204 HP electric motor with a 54.3 kWh lithium-ion battery guaranteed for 10 years or a million kilometres. For the UX 300e, Lexus has developed a safer and lighter air cooling system for battery cells than water-cooled systems. By working in harmony with the interior air conditioning, the system increases the car's performance, battery life and charging performance.
