DPD Switzerland has ordered a purely electrically powered Futuricum Logistics 18E truck from the Swiss company Designwerk Products AG in Winterthur. The Logistics 18E electric truck from Designwerk has a range of up to 760 kilometres. At 680 kWh, the battery on board is said to be the largest truck battery in Europe and the first to be used commercially in this form worldwide. The Logistics 18E e-truck will completely replace a truck with an internal combustion engine and perform its service on all scheduled routes of the company without intermediate charging.

Cooperation partners MagniX and Harbor Air have announced the successful first flight of a de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver seaplane converted to electric propulsion. The declared goal of the duo is to successively electrify all 42 sea airplanes from Harbor Air. The US company MagniX, which specializes in aircraft electric propulsion, and North America's largest sea airline, based in Richmond, Canada, have been cooperating since March of this year. For the first flight, a six-seater de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver with the 560 kW electric motor magni500 took off.

Daimler's Trucks & Buses commercial vehicle division is celebrating another milestone on the way to electrifying its vehicle portfolio: customers around the world have covered more than seven million kilometres with battery-electric trucks and buses. Positive customer feedback and findings from intensive tests with e-trucks from the Mercedes-Benz, FUSO and Freightliner brands show that the electrification of road freight transport is feasible today. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro electric city bus has been in use as a series vehicle in various European cities since 2018.

The new Citroën ë-Jumpy electric van can be ordered now. Deliveries of the emission-free van will begin in October 2020, this applies to both the version: 50 kWh battery with a range of up to 230 kilometres and the 75 kWh battery with a range of up to 330 kilometres according to WLTP. The Citroën ë-Jumpy price list starts at 34,690 euros. But buyers of electric vans benefit from the government's environmental bonus. Currently, until at least the end of 2021, there is a bonus of up to 9,000 euros for battery-electric vehicles (in Germany).

Citroën has confirmed the arrival on the market of an electric variant of the Citroën C4 in 2020, which will accompany the traditional combustion variants of the French group. In the last Paris Motor Show, Linda Jackson, CEO of Citroën, already included the compact of the C segment of the French manufacturer as one of his priorities for the coming years. The change of the Citroën C4 platform from the current EMP2 to the CMP opened the possibility of offering a fully electric version of the e-CMP variant of this platform.

Chinese automaker FAW has started constructing a new plant in Changchun that will produce electric cars for its premium brand "Hongqi". The completion of the plant is planned for 2022. FAW wants a maximum capacity of 200,000 vehicles per year. It directly sends more than 3,000 people in employment and further helps the electrification transformation of the Hongqi brand.

Mexico City has commissioned 63 battery-powered trolleybuses from Chinese manufacturer Yutong. 40 of the buses have already been delivered, the remaining 23 will follow in December. These are O-buses that also have a battery to cover up to 100 kilometers on overhead lines. The campaign to promote the future of the Mini Cooper SE (commercial name of the electric version) has begun since March, and voices close to the company say the model will be exhibited for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
