The renewable energy vehicle (REV) project at the University of Western Australia has partnered with technology partner Electro.Aero to develop the first hydrofoil watercraft, named WaveFlyer. The WaveFlyer looks like a conventional jet ski when it is stationary, but rises above the water during operation using an actively stabilized hydrofoil propulsion system. It is much quieter, uses less energy and produces no emissions compared to alternative fuels.

Volocopter has completed the first manned test flight in Singapore with its 2X electric aircraft. In addition, the company, together with its partner Skyports, has now put the spotlight on a prototype launch and landing infrastructure for e-taxis. The flight over Marina Bay took about two minutes. The pilot put in the course of the experiment at an average height of 40 meters, a distance of about 1.5 kilometers.

According to the German Handelsblatt publication, the new Volkswagen small-class electric cars will be produced at the plant in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. This is the same factory where VW Up, Skoda Citigo and SEAT Mii are currently being built. Initially, they took into account the Emden plant (Germany), but eventually chose Bratislava to minimize costs as much as possible. The three models will be joined by electric cars produced by VW, Skoda and SEAT, all three brands being reunited under the umbrella of Volkswagen AG.
