Two explosions, within a gap of five minutes, rocked the technical area of Jammu airport in the early hours of Sunday. It is suspected to be the first drone attack on any defence establishment in India.
Broadly speaking, we can divide the core technologies of neurotech into neuroimaging and neurostimulation, that is, technologies that read and technologies that write to the brain. There aren’t good reference resources online of what’s promising about these techniques, so in taking notes about them, I’ve decided to break them down in an accessible manner and give a rough sketch about the state of the art of each. I’ll give a quick summary about each technology, as well as list a few companies and labs doing work in each.
