zMisc: Former Navy Pilot Details Tic Tac UFO Encounter | Joe Rogan
This is the top F-15 pilot from the series "Carrier" filmed on board the USS Nimitz Air Craft Carrier. The feds have actually confirmed the UFOs he dealt with. FYI - I think the USS Princeton is the same ship Dan probably frequents.
You guys might like him. I think he's the best political analyst alive - right or left. He backs every position with hard data usually from multiple sources. A decade or two ago, he had almost celebrity status on the Left. That was bc of a book he wrote called The Coming Permanent Democratic majority." Obama and other big hitters then used his term "The Ascendant" all the time. I'd bet half the folks in DC had a copy in their back pocket - almost like the bible of the Left.
zMisc: The Allman Brothers Band - Statesboro Blues - Filmore East
Rolling Stone Magazine called the Filmore East Album one of the major live performances that changed Rock & Roll. Coincidentally, at the same time I was watching Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road doc. Rolling Stone also put that performance at the Filmore East on the same list and at about the same time. It was Elton John's first U.S. performance.
zMisc: Wilson Pickett - Hey Jude - Duane Allman on guitar
When Allman was a lowly session musician at Muscle Shoals - he pushed a reluctant Pickett to cover Hey Jude. It turned out to be a big hit for Pickett. The guitar work got worldwide notice after that - including Clapton. I didn't think the guitar work was that big of a deal - but i guess it was for that time. He and Clapton got to be close because of that. Quite a lot of "Layla" had contributions by Allman. I think it was recorded in Miami. It is rumored that it was their first meeting and they were glued together for 3 days straight. It's also said that Clapton thought Allman was a better guitarist.
