Turns out that vs lights you can optimize cs 5h in the corner. I haven't solved how to splat with HVV yet, but the fact that it does so much damage while also *not* breaking the wall is crazy good. As always I try to focus on match practical combos that are more real world applicable than fancy stuff, but sometimes stuff winds up fancy anyway :) Baiken overall in her combo structure is fairly straightforward, certainly much less complex than the last 3 DLC characters of Happy Chaos, Jacko, and Goldlewis. Hope this guide can help you! P = Punch K = Kick S = Slash HS = Heavy Slash D = Dust COMBO GUIDE AND NOTATIONS qcf = quarcter circle forward/236 qcb = quarter circle back/214 DP = Dragon Punch motion, forward, down, downforward/623 f = forward/6 b = back/4 cl. = Close cr. = Crouching TK = Tiger Knee, motion ending in up-forward 789 456 123 FOREWORD: Baiken combos are honestly pretty straightforward for the most part. One thing though her "main" combo structure of close slash into crouch heavy slash, keep in mind there is a gap there on block that anyone can mash through with anything invincible. It may be "optimal" in terms of damage, but not in safety. So just a big heads up on that one. Earlier on in the lifespan of baiken its probably gonna be a non issue, but later on it very well could be. Tatami = qcf/236 + K Yozansen = aerial qcf/236 + S To do a close to the ground Yozansen, just input QCF, then upforward, then hit the button, its quite easy! BNB COMBOS: Stand P/K, 6K, Tatami, S Crouch P/K, Sweep, Tatami, S Cl. Basically easy bnb combo is : Starter 2D 236S (66 5K) 6K 214S~H 214K cS 6S 214S~H WS Rolls makes it easy because no microdashes. Even though that combo is an "easier" version its still good later because its your go to confirm off low starters. 66 5K is optional but it makes it more reliable to link 6K vs heavies If you want slightly more optimal, you do the same but replace the 214K with 22P to reload a bullet then dash 5K 6S. If you are cornered, sideswitch variation : Starter 2D 236S 6K 214K~H cS 6S 214S~H WS You wanna shoot at the end of the roll so you can connect cS. Corner version : Starter 2D cS 236S 6S 214S~H 22P 6S 214S~H WS Make sure you focus (214P) after a wallsplat, then wallbreak with either dash 6S or super. Super is obviously better because knockdown + full bullets. @Ucro once you have that down you can also work on converting CH 6P into 214S~H roll and continue the combo kinda like you do on your usual bnb. If theyre too far to wall splat you can add more shoots into super at the end to squeeze extra damage, have a knockdown and replenish your focus to start fresh
