It's been a while since my last video about my favorite character. I know some of you, myself included, were worried about the potential for more Clary videos given how Season 3B didn't turn out...exactly how we wanted. But I still have some inspiration left to fulfill! Hopefully this is the first of a few character studies that center around Clary and the Morgenstern/Fairchild legacies.
This is also my interpretation of how dark!Clary /should/ been characterized. Take that how you will.

It's me again, with a new video for my favorite character. I was inspired after watching AnneSoshi's recent video about Jon Snow here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRqMWFYVEac. I wanted to do something similar and try to make a video explaining a theory I have about Clary's character. Although I guess it's less of a theory and more of a really cool wish, lol.
In case it didn't come across as clearly as I wanted it to, I think Clary has a deeper connection with the angels beyond just communicating with them and certain enhanced abilities. I feel like her place in the Shadow World is as an ACTUAL angel. I really like the idea of angels as distributing justice in the way they see fit, and I think Clary's character falls into this mold. She is often the judge, jury, and executioner and is the literal definition of using 'righteous fury'. I also think it's a cool play on angels being 'pure beings' - usually described to show how they are pure good, but I see it in the Shadow World as more of them being of lawful good. So that can result in terrible and powerful actions that are done in the sake of their own sense of justice. Anyway, it's just an interesting theory I have on Clary's place in the Shadow World. :) In the words of a tumblr post I saw just the other day: Shadowhunters ends with Clary becoming God or it doesn't end at all.
