After Porsche stopped shaking and stumbling through every breath, after Kinn could no longer feel cold stone pressed against his skin and the doctors were done fussing over him, finally Chan dialed the number and let Kinn talk to Tay. “Kinn,” Tay’s voice said, and it was everything, all Kinn had wanted and not dared let himself imagine for the past however many days. It was Tay, alive and well, warm like Kinn remembered, saying his name as if the world was still the same place it was a week ago. Kinn was so glad he’d stepped away from Porsche, let the medical staff try to feed him milk tea and check his pulse again, before accepting the phone from Chan. Tay’s voice made him feel like all his walls were crumbling, like he couldn’t stay upright anymore. Kinn and Tay are omegas, Porsche is their alpha. After Porsche and Kinn are kidnapped and then rescued, all they want is to finally reunite with Tay.
