He tugs on A-Yuan’s hand, already thinking of the strongly worded letter he’s going to send to whatever administration is in charge, but A-Yuan is rooted on spot. “Please sit down, Sir” the policewoman gestures to the free seat in front of her desk. “There’s some explaining to do, nothing you need to worry about. And you” she narrows her eyes at the kidnapper, “I promise it won’t kill you, so do yourself a favor and try to behave for once in your life, else I’m putting you back in your cell.” “I always behave, I’m behaving right now. How can I not behave?” the man whines, shaking his handcuffed wrists to prove his point. “You’ve got me tied up to a chair, Wen Qing! No sleep, no food, not even a coffee. The quality of service in this place is seriously awful. I’m giving it one star, you’re lucky I know you.” - They get off to a bad start but this is all very soft, just wangxian getting the happiness they deserve with their son.

Wei Wuxian turns around and marches back up the stairs. The man is already there at the top.

As if anyone could look at the unyielding Hanguang-jun and imagine him as a demure concubine… dripping in silk and pearls, looking up at Wei Wuxian through his lashes and promising all matter of pleasures… yeah. What was he thinking about again? Right. It’s a silly rumour, no one could believe it.
