I was sat next to @Chris Do when this new text-to-vector feature was announced at Adobe MAX and he gave me a knowing nod that basically asked me, “Is logo design dead?”. If we type straight into our the properties window. “A purple logo that incorporates a llama and a hashtag” we get some pretty nice illustrations. And the beauty is that the results are all vector so we can make any customisations we need using our skills in Adobe illustrator. But when you compare this to my design, we can clearly see that logo design is not dead. And until A.I. can think abstractly like this, I think our jobs are safe. We don’t need to be scared of A.I. because as designers, we will always get better results than “civilians”. AI is a tool to help us, not replace us. #graphicdesign #illustratortips #illustrator #AI #adobeillustrator #graphicdesigner #logodesigner #graphicdesigndaily #graphicdesigns #logodesigners #designtips #graphicdesigncommunity #graphicdesignerlife #designerlogo

How to Wrap a Texture or Pattern around an object in Photoshop CS6 - Australia Unwrapped
How do you wrap a texture, pattern, or logo around an object?
The answer is called a displacement map! Displacement maps are a special kind of distorting effect you use to change the way an image maps to geometry. It uses grayscale values to determine how close (or far away) a part of the distorted image should be. You're going to see some familiar key concepts in this advanced tutorial, including layer masks.
