Shreyas Iyer (82 off 36 balls) carried the momentum after Arya was dismissed by Harshal Patel (4/42). Eshan Malinga (2/45) scalped the wicket of Prabhsimran Singh, but Nehal Wadhera (27) continued supporting Shreyas from the other end. Harshal Patel and Eshan Malinga were the ones from Sunrisers controlling the damage as they dismissed Nehal, Shashank Singh and Glenn Maxwell to keep themselves in the game.
