“My 7 year old niece, who contracted Covid 4x during the last school year, no longer knows her cousin (my daughter) nor her Granddad.
A few days before her last infection she told my Mom how much she misses Granddad and how he would give her everything!
The week before her last infection she Facetime my daughter and I to recite her Bible verse for the week.
Then she got Covid, started losing things, has problems with word finding, and obvious memory loss.
This happened in May.
My SIL can’t get her in to see a Neurologist until November because all appointments are taken.
Is this the government AND the citizens of this country have decided is ok?”
There is a physical change in the brain’ in children with neurological damage from COVID.
In Data From 96 Studies
Thread Previously healthy and fit children with 'high social and academic performance' found to have brains that show classic signs of severe neurogenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's dementia as well as a significant drop in memory and intelligence after 'mild' Covid
Thread Unusual brain abscess in children under 18 have risen to new height.
These abscesses usually follow a respiratory infection like including COVID-19

Thread New study documents the case of two previously healthy sisters - 11 and 13-years-old - with new-onset cognitive decline after mild covid. The ability of their brains to consume glucose had been impaired - an initiating factor for dementia, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease 🧵
Thread New study documents covid-triggered brain inflammation resulting in the death of a previously healthy 9 year-old girl. From the doubled chance of type 1 diabetes, to brain damage and death, will the mass media ever report on the harm to children from repeat covid infections?
High levels of gliosis occur in the neonatal brain within a week after in utero infection, and macrosomia is seen in infected pups. COVID-19 infection in pregnant hACE2-KI mice replicates infection severity and effects seen in pregnant women.
Kids #COVID19: 22% had neurologic involvement. 9% had life-threatening conditions, with half having acute central nervous system (CNS) infections or demyelination; 43% died or had new neurologic deficits. #Notacold https://ja.ma/3EpMDUm via @JAMANeuro part of @JAMANetwork
Thread COVID-19: Pediatric Diabetes, Lung Damage, Brain Impact, Newborns, and Higher Hospitalization Rates
Studies show kids are also at risk of long-term consequences from infection and especially those <5 for higher rates of hospitalization than most adults. Let's take a look.🧵1/
Children who got COVID-19 had increased risks of cognitive deficit, insomnia, intracranial haemorrhage, ischaemic stroke, nerve root & plexus disorders, psychotic disorders, and epilepsy or seizures (HRs: 1·20 to 2·16)."
COVID-19 is not flu, certainly.
"Covid-19 can severely damage your child's brain.
The research identifies a wide spectrum of neurological complications in children and suggests they may be more common than in adults admitted with Covid-19."
"How COVID-19 Can Affect Your Child's Brain
Some children develop neurological symptoms from COVID-19, including brain fog, memory issues, headaches, and trouble concentrating. We spoke with pediatric neurologists to learn more..."
Brain damage after even mild Covid in kids: Omicron is much better at invading children's noses, predicts memory issues. "Severity of smell dysfunction after infection may be a better predictor of long-term cognitive impairment than severity of COVID-19"
Thread 1/ Child Covid: big multi-hospital study shows nearly 1 in 100 kids admitted had a stroke, 1 in 90 has a heart attack and 1 in 12 has a seizure: disturbing neurological manifestations found in children—nearly 1 in 2 went to ICU—1 in 100 died & this is PRE-OMICRON.
