“27th November 2024 – (Hong Kong) The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health (DH), in conjunction with various government departments, orchestrated a public health drill today, known as “Amazonite,” aimed at bolstering response capabilities towards human cases of avian influenza. This exercise also sought to enhance coordination among the DH and pertinent departments in addressing such scenarios, with a focus on heightening awareness among stakeholders regarding the management of public health emergencies.”
