After 2020, we each made a choice: to either keep masking and not be constantly sick, or to be “free” of masking in exchange for repeated illness. If you want me to respect your choice of constant illness, please respect my choice to mask to avoid your constant illness.— beccaroth.bsky.social (@Becca_Roth) February 18, 2025

My rules are very simple for congregations and gatherings of any kind:

“5+ years illness-free even treating COVID patients and living alongside them at work events 😎

This is literally a basic aspect in eliminating preventable illness transmission, alongside vaccination, clean air, isolation, quarantine, staying home while sick, and using high-level respirators to protect yourself and to prevent transmission.

We already know in #PublicHealth how to keep communities illness–free.

But it isn’t about your health.

Unlike many others, I practice what I preach.

Still winning at the devil’s game and still the safest and best practices person to ever be around you & your children. #NeverCovid 🔥💯”

“HICPAC has demonstrated not only negligence but also a fundamental misunderstanding of respiratory protection in healthcare settings. Their inability to provide informed & accurate policies on this critical issue undermines HCW safety & public trust in their recommendations.

Evidence: In OSHA’s 2011 introductory training video, it’s made clear that surgical masks are not to be used as respiratory protection. The video explains how it’s a MYTH that they can be used to protect HCWs from infection from a long list of viruses including coronaviruses.”

Let’s debunk this myth once and for all! Masks did NOT harm kids' ability to read faces. Studies show that kids could still identify emotions just fine—even improved at recognizing some!👇

“How Much Can a Fashion Earloop Mask Protect You? (The Upgrade Edition) (Trifolds Only)

Let’s talk about masks that anyone might want to wear, no matter what they believe in, just because some of them actually look cute…Overall, you can see I was able to get decent protection out of even a completely random KF94 off eBay. Any genuinely Korean KF94 or even ones made in China (the Lytecordz ones) are likely to have a good filter.”

54 months. That's how long I've been masking every shift in the hospital. I've had one infection of ANY kind during that time, ONE, in January '22 when Omicron overwhelmed my hospital & we had 300 covid positive inpatients. Respirators work, but you gotta wear them consistently.

Here is a masking study that's based on my recent forecast that was through January 8th. These are various levels of masking compliance using N95's with a 78% prevention rate. Do you think we should mask more? MAPS thinks so. Even if we could get to 15% it'd make a big difference

For the last ~2 years, I’ve felt healthier and more clear-headed than at ANY other point in my entire 31 year life.

Do people ENJOY sickness? WTF?!”
