Masks Work
“How Much Can a Fashion Earloop Mask Protect You? (The Upgrade Edition) (Trifolds Only)
Let’s talk about masks that anyone might want to wear, no matter what they believe in, just because some of them actually look cute…Overall, you can see I was able to get decent protection out of even a completely random KF94 off eBay. Any genuinely Korean KF94 or even ones made in China (the Lytecordz ones) are likely to have a good filter.”
“I’m creating a virtual hospital here for all the healthcare workers who still recognise we are working in a pandemic to congregate. Feel free to share photos or just your support via text. You are not alone ❤️ 🏥 😷❤️
I mask at work because it’s a choice, how about you?”

“I haven’t been sick in 4 years, 1 month, and 21 days. The only difference in my life between now and 2019 is… masking in public.
For the last ~2 years, I’ve felt healthier and more clear-headed than at ANY other point in my entire 31 year life.
Do people ENJOY sickness? WTF?!”
“I see about 150-200 patients a week, many of them with hoarking coughs, right in my face. And I didn't catch a single thing from them. Masks in health care settings is just common sense.”
New study suggests healthcare workers should wear N95 masks when respiratory infections are high.

Covid: Masks upgrade cuts infection risk, research finds
The study concludes that "cases attributed to ward-based exposure fell significantly, with FFP3 respirators providing 31-100% protection (and most likely 100%) against infection from patients with Covid-19".

In 2022: “most fabric masks provide some protection for the wearer from aerosols exhaled by others and dried to ambient humidity, reducing inhaled viral load by ∼20% when leaky and by ∼70% if sealed.”

@datcummings Albert Ko et al. Data show that immunity induced by vaccines, prior infection or both (hybrid) protects against SARS-CoV-2 infection when viral exposure is low to moderate (1/)
