Second Chance program gives an insight into the untold challenges and struggles women: young and old, face. Education becomes a distant speck in the horizon. The Program is about fighting for these dreams and then dreaming some more. Nestled in the rural location in Madhya Pradesh, the video reassures us about the importance of opportunities and the journey of empowerment.

Pratham developed the concept of 'School Readiness Melas' to engage the community at large. These are community-level fairs done annually for children about to enter Grade 1 to gauge their school readiness level. The mela has dedicated stalls for each development domain. Children and their mothers participate in various activities, at the end of which, the mother is given a report card which indicates their child’s school readiness. The mela serves as a tool to create awareness about the importance of early childhood education.
