  • say "mizmo" instead of "mismo"
  • vowels (mostly e) disappear between consonants and 's', eg. "pastas" becomes "pasts", "es que" becomes "sk" "sk no puedo hacerlo"
  • ll/y can be pronounced as 'y' or 'j' (not sh like in argentina)
  • x/j may sound like an h on the coast
  • inlands x/j could sound "kh" inland
  • when excited, e at the end of the word may sound like i

SUFFIXES

  • add -ote/-ota to mean it's really BIG, eg. tienes una cabezota.
  • to be affectionate or to make something small, add -ito/-ita
  • in the north, -ito/-ita might change to -illo/-illa.
  • uco(a)/-ucho(a) when something is bad or ugly or not good
  • azo/-aza really cool really good, eg. football goal is golazo!
  • ón/-ona means this person has whatever is attached (in a big way), eg. nalgona girl with a big butt (las nalgas = booty)
  • Mexicans add 'le' to a lot of their commands / expressions, doesn't mean anything
