What's remarkable is that these materials can be infused with custom scents like lavender and vanilla, they can also be dyed using mineral pigments, and are embossed with traditional leather patterns.  For years, people have been looking for ways to create materials that look and feel like leather without using plastic and now it’s possible! Uncaged Innovations rigorously tests their plant-based materials, ensuring their sustainable alternative can match traditional leather's performance, as well as can biodegrade at the end of its life. Did you know: The leather industry processes over a billion animal hides annually, and the tanning process uses toxic chromium that pollutes the environment, harms workers, and consumes up to 17,000 liters of water per kilogram of leather.
