'I don't know what my purpose is'
Here are the 9 TOUGH questions that helped me find mine:
To me finding purpose is about adding meaning to life.
- It gives me direction
- It gives me fulfilment
- It gives me something bigger to work towards.
These 9 questions can help you find yours:
1. When do you feel most alive?
When do you feel most fulfilled?
When do you feel most inspired?
2. What are 3 things that make you unique?
(Understanding your authenticity)
3. What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?
(Internal motivation)
4. If you knew you were going to die one year from today, what would you do?
(Urgency gives us perspective)
5. What are you really good at? And can continue to get better at?
(Progress is key for purpose)
6. What are your values?
P.s YOUR values. Not your parents. This is a mistake I see so often.
7. If failure wasn’t an option, what would you start/do?
8. How would you describe your perfect day?
9. If your life stayed exactly the same as it is for 70 years, what would you regret?
I would suggest journalling them, doing them with a colleague/friend or your coach.
P.s finding your purpose is a lifelong journey! And it can change. It’s all about being more reflective and intentional.
Any more you would add?
