BRC oki after 214P, beats throws and reversals but loses to 5P however you need to IB the DP to get maximum punish since air blocked DP has pushback #ggst_ra pic.twitter.com/WMXLZbJPhw— Bachiru (@BachiruBB) June 17, 2021

Here's a list of 10 advanced techniques that you can use to help with your gameplay. I know a few things aren't listed such as fuzzy defense and other option selects, but I feel those are common in other games and wanted to show what's generally not in GG. I hope this helps somewhat :).

Using Air IFD to "reduce blockstun" and punish things with slower moves (or possibly punish unpunishable stuff). This works with air IB but Air IFD works better since you fall faster + no landing stun #GGST pic.twitter.com/EZmTw0oxc5— QCFP|Badoor waiting on 💉 #2 (@BadoorSNK) June 27, 2021

Seem like throw invul frame after block and hit is 5f...?I tested by tried to grab Sol in two settings, reversal with 2K (6f) and 2P (5f), I could grab 2K just fine both after hit and block, but Sol's 2P beat Pot Buster every time.#GGST pic.twitter.com/D45bIL3ET8— Vorapol "Maydic" Tusakorn (@Vorapol_Maydic) June 26, 2021
Throw or back throw safe jump side mixup
7 IAD late jS same side (can also use jH)
8 IAD late jS crossup
Doesn't work on Gio, Zato, I-No, or Ram (nor does any throw safe jump, INCLUDING corner)
Discovered by SHwoKingVSF
I would recommend doing the 7 IAD jH safe jump if you want to stay on the same side and the 8 IAD if you want to crossup. This way you get more damage and can get the bigger CH if they contest your jH.
#GGST so I found in some situations BRC is better than YRC. YRC brings the game back to a neutral state. BRC allows you to play a game of RPS. Grab > normals 2D > grabs. If your opponent supers it beats all options if you know they’re gonna super block and punish pic.twitter.com/xl8053y1Ko— Super Platano (@SuperPlatano711) June 26, 2021
Learning from the Mistakes | Guilty Gear Strive Ramlethal Online Matches
Hey all wanted to post some matches where i was struggling against high ranked players in order to improve my adaptation and give some insight on how to deal with strong players:
00:00 - The Beginning
00:21 - Read on command grab since no Eddie meter
00:38 - Best option here would be fuzzy jumping
01:17 - Good read on my throw attempt
01:30 - Best round start option against Zato
01:38 - Block the mix low until you see overhead/throw
02:21 - Zato's button beats 5K so i went for F.S instead
02:38 - Read on the jump
02:59 - Bad option to jump since Zato can react and punish
03:21 - Super to get hard knockdown after wallbreak
03:29 - Read on RC based on opponents habits
03:41 - Good read from opponent cuz he went command grab before
04:20 - 5HS beats all Zato ground options from this range
04:45 - 5HS max range coversion
05:00 - Eddie can be hit during pressure gaps
05:36 - Read the burst
05:53 - Opponent does bandit bringer to escape corner
05:58 - Bad idea to challenge F.S into 5HS pressure
06:19 - Air 214K to change landing timing
06:36 - F.S beats Sol 6S since faster startup
06:54 - RC to keep pressure safe
07:16 - Punish raw Vortex with 2D
07:41 - Opponent not anti-airing so i can jump in and out
08:06 - Red RC into empty low
09:07 - Sol C.S measty beats 5P mash
09:28 - 214PP framtrap to beat Sol challenge
09:45 - Chip kill setup with positive bonus meter gain
10:20 - Poorly spaced JHS
10:53 - 5HS is a good challenge to Axl at long range
11:09 - Bad burst after opponent RC'd
11:56 - Air 214K to change landing timing
12:14 - Dauro into RC to check opponent's actions
12:34 - Jump to bait the grab
12:52 - Punish with RC for Axl at max range
14:09 - Meaty C.S to beat any mashing
14:48 - 5HS great in neutral vs Axl

#GGST RISC will only force a counterhit when at 100, unlike older GGs where any hits at RISC over 50 would be a counterhit. However, a RISC-forced counterhit will be a heavy counterhit, regardless of attack used. pic.twitter.com/c0U9Mcaztx— SUGOI | Zankoku (@Zankoku) June 25, 2021
BRC can create punishes that normally don't exist. I used this example because the timing is so ridiculously precise yet still a true punish. I don't recommend this specific example in-game, but instead, use the concept to create your own punishes!#GGST #GGST_CH @HiFightTH pic.twitter.com/79NyxAOCem— tragic (@fightelement) June 25, 2021
Not sure if this is common knowledge but it seems like your positioning changes post wall break depending on what you break the wall with. Not sure how impactful this will be but I thought it was kind of interesting. #GGST pic.twitter.com/XHHgzmR2iU— SeanE (@EngrishVEN) June 25, 2021
DiVA Dash - New technique discovered in Guilty Gear Strive!
Apparently you can cancel forward dash (macro) with a manual backdash. This is OD. Shoutouts to Vechiroo#6969 in the GGST Resource Hub discord for discovering this.

So today I learned a neat way to use Blue/Purple Roman Cancels. I've started using Blue when I anticipate my opponent is about to attack and because of the 'slow motion' effect it turns their 'turn' into my 'turn'. Same for Purple, but it's for dropped combos instead#GGST pic.twitter.com/BT5lZMSNAy— KariyaFGC (@KariyaFGC) June 25, 2021
sorry for the grumpy tone earlier, just saw disinfo and got madas for the technicalities - see the ghetto videop.s. I also saw some guy input a dash RC instant flashkick, now that is coolhave no idea now to input that though pic.twitter.com/PNLB7KQFIn— I_Am_Axy (@I_Am_AxyFGC) June 25, 2021
Thus, for Leo, for example, YES: you can walk or Dash, do 2RC 8H, and get an instant Flash Kick. pic.twitter.com/WRslkhABbT— James Chen (@jchensor) June 25, 2021
