Was asked about some anti-Chipp options as Ky a few times during stream and I decided I should go be a lab monster and see what I can find out.
First and foremost shoutout to https://twitter.com/Tweakk_FGC for his video here: https://twitter.com/Tweakk_FGC/status/1411738817892020230 . Pretty much acted as the foundation of the video and also gave me some approaches to try with the use of BRC and even the detail about Super landing on the opposite side. After it was just like 3-4 days of labbing, video editing, and not streaming (Sorry about that. Took a day longer than anticipated.)

Horizontal Alpha Blade punishes. Backdash BRC gives you several options & still nets you decent Tension #GGST_ZA pic.twitter.com/sW7UkCphbL— Whateverdude151 (@whateverdude151) June 30, 2021
Most consistent way to hard punish Chipps leaf grab for me. I feel using 6H requires me to basically be mashing it for it to work & backdash 2H is really easy to mistime. This has been very consistent and I feel I can do it on reaction, works anywhere on screen too.#GGST_ZA pic.twitter.com/P5Q7hU41E6— BrendanMushi (@BrendanMushi) June 24, 2021
Probably Zato's max damage corner anti air combo on Chipp.
Use Oppose or 2H will trade with j.2K.
The back dash before 6H to wall crack is just for style and to auto time 6H, it's not necessary.
Good shit, thanks for always putting out so much Zato tech and just to piggyback off the j.D option. You can also get a raw 236S after it as well!https://t.co/TOT0MxuWeA— BrendanMushi (@BrendanMushi) June 28, 2021

This video will show you how to counter everything Chipp does in the first layer. The Chipp Rekka option is not shown because that is what he will use to defeat your mash options to which you punish him accordingly. Also there are options to deal with Sol's 6S pressure that I go over as well. Enjoy.

Jump back punish for chipp grab, also works as an answer to the follow up command grabs they do after #PS4share pic.twitter.com/Y6HASQOvG5— Nino_Allah (@StillGrowinProd) June 26, 2021
Options vs Chipp's Diagonal Alpha Blade. Backdash BRC helps along with knowing if they will delay Alpha #GGST_ZA pic.twitter.com/53nrwmrP3Q— Whateverdude151 (@whateverdude151) July 6, 2021
Leaf grab punish with BD BRC! might be able to kill with 100 meter? idk lol #GGST_PO pic.twitter.com/2JFAe4KONd— Native 🇵🇷 (@nativeMegaTen) June 26, 2021
#GGST_AX This tech works for you guys too. Everyone else should be as well, just gotta find the right button that works. pic.twitter.com/ylG9fE1ovm— supers4iy4n_kid (@supers4iy4nkid) July 5, 2021
This is an easier execution version, but requires meter. Use your meter wisely tho, so this possibly could be good in game killing situations! #GGST_KY pic.twitter.com/T6JgfWF3MS— supers4iy4n_kid (@supers4iy4nkid) July 5, 2021
#GGST_KY Counter-play against Chipp's ground Alpha Blade (236P) on your defense that leads you into a safe jump. Definitely do this if you get a read on which moment they are gonna do ground Alpha Blade on your defense. The timing takes some time to get down, but it works! pic.twitter.com/GqH6Zgn1CI— supers4iy4n_kid (@supers4iy4nkid) July 5, 2021
