Do consultants have protected weekends?

Consultants have a better work-life balance than investment bankers, with fewer working hours and protected weekends. Consulting hours have the advantage of protected weekends to recover from, very rare full nights (as long as you don't work due diligence with a large-cap private equity fund) and much greater control over who you want to work with.
