Chicago, IL – This week, Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García (IL-04) convened a virtual meeting between labor groups leaders and Illinois Unidos to address the COVID-19 pandemic through multi-sector collaboration across groups. “Essential workers, many of whom are Latino, Black, immigrant, and working-class, keep our country going during this pandemic. As states and cities have rolled out COVID-19 plans our essential workforce remains invisible and underserved.
