Regardless of your feelings towards Brandon Ashur/Bashurverse or the content he has made throughout the years, it’s really damn sad to see him suddenly pass away from COVID. He undoubtedly left his mark on the internet and will not be forgotten. https://t.co/Wofmf7vNY2

Vaccinating the Unvaccinated: Success Stories & Challenges in Reaching Low-vax Latinx Communities
Vaccinating the Unvaccinated: Success Stories & Challenges in Reaching Low-vax Latinx Communities
With the Delta variant causing infection rates to surge, the race to vaccinate the unvaccinated has become even more urgent. We hear from three front-line community organizers about how and why their highly personal, one-on-one approach to unvaccinated Latinos -- in the heart of LA, in rural communities of San Joaquin, in small cities like Stockton -- is working to build trust and convince people to get their vaccines. Often persuading the eldest person is key to getting an entire household to vaccinate.

SARS CoV 2 VARIANTS - Will Vaccines still work? Short answer. Yes it sure looks like it.
SARS CoV 2 VARIANTS - Will Vaccines still work? Short answer. Yes it sure looks like it.
I have received this question many times. And I’ve answered. When it comes to genetic variants of coronavirus or any virus for that matter, remember the immune system has evolved to combat this. How does it do that? It has multiple layers. It’s not all about antibodies. The immune system is so much more. We talk about all of that and more, here.

Loneliness and its Health Effects
Loneliness and its Health Effects
Loneliness correlates more strongly with health outcomes than many other traditional risk factors, such as tobacco use and high cholesterol. In today’s episode, Julianne Holt-Lunstad, PhD, a Professor Psychology at Brigham Young University and Lisbeth Briones-Roberts, the Chief Togetherness Officer for SCAN Health Plan, talk about the problem and what to do about it. Also hear the latest on the Delta variant of COVID-19. **Be sure to subscribe to The Healthy Skeptic MD on your favorite podcast app and on Youtube! La Bamba (original) - El Jarocho 1939.wmv
Originally a wedding dance (from the Veracruz area), La Bamba eventually became a standard in the Son Jarocho repertoire. Oldest version known by me: El Jarocho (Alvaro Hernandez Ortiz) con guitarra. Released on RCA Victor 76102, B-side: El Dinero. More info welcome. Reissued in 1997 on The Secret Museum of Mankind: Vol. 4: Ethnic Music Classics: 1925-48, date given there is c. 1929. However, research in relation with other Mexican RCA Victor recordings, reveals this performance as recorded and released in 1939. More info welcome. Thanks to Roel Vos for audio and pictures.
