no one asked for this feature, it doesn't drive revenue - but if you claim to be committed to quality this is what you do, no questions asked

The Grid is a real-time collaboration tool specifically designed for distributed teams and remote work. It aims to provide an experience as close as possible to being in the same room by allowing teammates to instantly screen share, voice chat, see presence status and more just by clicking on each other's avatars.

Whenever I see a UI like this I sigh: because I can tell whoever built it is an dev who doesn't care about their craft much. The card type can be inferred from the first few digits of any card, using a regex. It's a neat (and fun!) thing to code + makes for more pleasant UX. pic.twitter.com/a4aqSrZgOD— Gergely Orosz (@GergelyOrosz) January 31, 2024

Technical breakdown of a few neurologicalgical innovations in the Vision Pro
One of the coolest results involved predicting a user was going to click on something before they actually did. That was a ton of work and something I’m proud of. Your pupil reacts before you click in part because you expect something will happen after you click. So you can create biofeedback with a user's brain by monitoring their eye behavior, and redesigning the UI in real time to create more of this anticipatory pupil response. It’s a crude brain computer interface via the eyes, but very cool. And I’d take that over invasive brain surgery any day.

LLMs are highly non-deterministic, which presents a huge design challenge: we've never built non-deterministic software, it's always been based off of branching logic and restricted options (hence: the GUI)— Neal Khosla (@nealkhosla) February 25, 2023

Steve Troughton-Smith on Twitter - fixes for stage manager in iPadOS 16 beta
I think my preferred way to fix window placement/resizing on iPad’s Stage Manager is to not do any of the ‘smart’ repositioning or grid-snapping when interacted with via mouse/trackpad.
