This is my favorite new feature in visionOS 2.0. I have always had double-vision my whole life, but after turning this on I experienced actual stereo depth for the first time ever. It was genuinely emotional.

Vision Pro's playspace limit of 1.5m is A LOT more arbitrary than you would expectEven if the passthrough fades in, the headset STILL tracks your location compared to your center stage...My friends in VRChat can watch me/my avatar go across a house's multiple floors! pic.twitter.com/hQlGCImNV1— Brad Lynch (@SadlyItsBradley) March 1, 2024
“drei/meshportalmaterial can now be entered with a single prop, "blend". it will have lots of creative potential, for spatial UI and the meaning of "routes".

“It’s cool that they’re calling it a “spatial computer”, which is a significant break from the “tech first” way of calling it a “headset”. It’s not about what it is, but what you do with it: You can do all kinds of computing tasks with it, but in a new kind of spatial way.43/?”
“So, @Apple’s new #VisionPro headset is out, and it looks like a cool product. I happened to work on it five years ago, so here’s a number of thoughts on the gadget. This is long and rambling, and all of my first-hand information is five years old, so make of it what you will.1/?”
“Kind of interesting that the glassy, three dimensional visionOS UI (which is real) looks a lot like Microsoft’s “fancy fantasy” UI from its promo videos, which is completely fake.
Shows the difference in culture between the two pretty well.”
“Fun fact - Microsoft pioneered this with their proximity light in MRTK! Their fluent design was really ahead of its time, and remains a masterclass for direct touch interaction.”
“Dear Twitter,
I made a thing and I'm pretty pumped about it 🤓
It's a prototype of @softspacehq that lets you build a 3D knowledge map of whatever you're obsessing about *really* quickly.
(Yes yes there's #AI involved)
(Yes you can download it!)

Vision Pro comes with persistent World Anchors for objects, not just apps, so objects stay in space where you left them last! One step closer to an object-based metaverse where we live amongst smart, unique, interoperable 3D objects instead of living inside mega apps… pic.twitter.com/2uWdDB9mtr— aidan (@Aidan_Wolf) June 7, 2023
