@sama This just seems like a narrative designed to get people to agree with it, though. Like "things used to be so much harder in our day," etc. Everybody says, "yeah, yeah, he's right," but where's the data to back this up? It's a story - maybe true for some, but definitely not all.

@sama There are more elements to this — including the cost of living. Expecting the newer generation to take similar risks as the previous founders did by starting a venture which can initially lower or reset their income despite the crazy housing costs (i.e. Canada) is challenging.
