Educational Series (8 of 31): Difference Between Hemp Seed Oil and Hemp Oil
This video education series is designed for our retail partners and their employees to learn about Joy Organics, our premium CBD products and the answers to the most common questions our customers ask. Enjoy! Summary In this video, part of our educational series, Joy Organics co-founder Todd Smith sheds light on the actual difference between hemp oil and hempseed oil. Although these are often used interchangeably, hemp oil and hempseed oil are two completely different products in terms of cannabinoid content. Hemp seed oil is exclusively extracted from the plantҳ seeds using the oilseed press machine. Hemp seeds are completely void of cannabinoids, so hemp seed oil also contains no cannabinoids whatsoever. This means that there is absolutely no CBD in hempseed oil. This seed oil has industrial, commercial, and cosmetic applications, among others, and it is typically listed as cannabis sativa seed oil. On the other hand, hemp oil is actually extracted from the plantҳ flowers, leaves, and stalks, which are rich in cannabinoids, especially CBD. In other words, hemp oil has naturally high concentrations of CBD and low concentrations of the other well-known cannabidol THC, with psychoactive properties. As the #1 broad spectrum brand, Joy Organics exclusively uses the highest-quality hemp oil to create our broad spectrum CBD products, which undergo purification, chromatography, and other processes to ensure they deliver maximum health benefits. Hemp oil and hemp seed oil are, unfortunately, incorrectly marketed as the same oil, high in CBD. Just about every product that is listed as CBD oil on Amazon and other marketplaces is, in fact, hemp seed oil, which contains no CBD at all. Any health benefit that consumers experience when using hempseed oil (but advertised as CBD oil) is mostly a placebo benefit, meaning it tends to have a psychological benefit rather than an actual health benefit. Knowing the difference between these two oils, extracted from the same plant, but different parts of it is beneficial not only for a CBD business or wholesaler. but also for consumers, so that they know what they are paying for and what to expect in terms of health benefits.
