This Reddit thread is hilarious. A bunch of web devs reverse engineering https://t.co/meb05q810q trying to understand how it's so fast. Hint, it's built with @gatsbyjs :-) https://t.co/syFcJVNwYI https://t.co/g0RO9qCDFn

Why you should never read Reddit comments (about #StateOfJS): “Most likely, people who are mainly Javascript devs with little experience in web design or HTML/CSS work created the site and for that I think it looks great” …and that’s one of the *nice* ones!
@MichaelRosenYes @educationgovuk @AQA @Ofstednews Very good point. It's also hard to point out to people who haven't realised it that the narrator of a book in the third person isn't actually the author, but another character called the narrator.
Netflix’s new She-Ra is seriously cool. The female characters are strong and diverse in personality, body shape and skin tone. Some are good, some are evil. Some are funny, some are serious, some are nerdy.
So since the dawn of HTML5 and and tags I've always reset the header tag I've used. E.g used a h1 as the first header tag in a section. But SEO tools still say this is invalid? Why? I'm looking at you @semrush #frontend #webdev https://t.co/XPeYdgAqlB
@captainsafia @github I wrote a `git-utils` library that literally supports `git typo` for this exact purpose. https://t.co/h5DObsUo2q https://t.co/SmqXCcrQap
A few weeks ago I wrote about permissive UX, where I pondered about better voice UI for people who are unconfident tech users. I'm so pleased to see Steven referencing my questions and further considering this through his wonderfully written article. https://t.co/qWYGgWG0sL
Thanks to @hijjabi for taking this photo of me at the Cornerstone Poetry Festival in Cardiff last weekend. I had a great time reading alongside some fantastic poets at our Saturday morning showcase. Lovely venue for poetry too – thanks for the invite @CardiffPoetry. https://t.co/NCUNzUw5be

OK, here’s why I think “design ethics” is bullshit: it doesn’t matter how “ethical” you are if your CEO isn’t. At that point you’re just a nice coat of ethical paint hiding shady business practices.
Is it time to move off @Medium? Going to my dashboard, here's what I see. Ugh. Medium, I get it that you need to make money, but I liked you better when you cared less about it. https://t.co/4zXKmQj4B1
Here is the full cover painting for our new album, Gold & Grey. This is just the first piece of a much larger puzzle. Like the forthcoming album itself, it is the result of an intense, tireless, and psychotically convoluted creative process. Both artistically and [1/5] https://t.co/VoZNd8ufKH
My CSS selectors deepdive will be held in Bishopsgate suite. The goal is for the participants to drop xpath and successfully create css selectors in any situation. Many examples included.
You can now watch our videos at 2X and use left / right arrow keys to fast forward / rewind. So impressed by @thatgalnatalie for shipping this flawlessly as her first coding project! 👏 https://t.co/jo82ZsMgoz
8yo (just now): You know GitHub? Me: ... ??? You know about GitHub? 8yo: Yes, you are always on it. I was wondering if I could create an account? Me: Wow. Hold on there. I didn't think we would need to have this discussion about decentralized version control until you were older.
TIL that @dan_abramov tweets so much about React that you can literally assemble his tweets into a complete well thought out presentation deck. Awesome presentation by @gurlcode
I wonder why so much of UX practice is wrapped up in UX advocacy. Is it because the value of most other fields is more demonstrable and/or undisputed? It's almost like if farmers felt like they had to spend half their time convincing people that food is good.
