Involvement of opioid system in behavioral despair induced by social isolation stress in mice - PubMed
Social isolation stress (SIS) as a type of chronic stress could induce depressive- and anxiety-like behaviors. Our study evaluates the role of opioid system on negative behavioral impacts of SIS in male NMRI mice. We investigated effects of morphine, a nonselective opioid receptor (OR) agonist, nalt …

From good to bad fibroblasts: New promising targets to cure Crohn's disease
From good to bad fibroblasts: New promising targets to cure Crohn's disease
In this study, [1] Ou and colleagues elucidate the mechanism regulating fibroblast activation in Crohn's Disease (CD) via YAP/TAZ. Blocking of YAP/TAZ-related mechanisms reduced fibroblast activation in a mouse model of Crohn's Disease. The study by Ou et al. identifies YAP/TAZ inhibitors as potential therapeutic targets to treat CD by reducing fibroblast activation.

High Perceived Stress is Associated With Increased Risk of Ulcerative Colitis Clinical Flares
Although perceived stress (PS) has been associated with symptomatic flares in inflammatory bowel disease, clinical and physiological measures associated with perceived stress and flare are not known. The aim of this study was to identify physiological factors associated with perceived stress in ulcerative colitis (UC) subjects, and their relationship with flare.
