Dynamic Hexagon Shield Effect — Niagara Grid2D. I’d like to share Dynamic Hexagon Shield Effect I’m building in Unreal Engine using Niagara Grid2. The shield reacts instantly to incoming hits (such as bullets). Blueprint only sends a short ping-pong impulse (1 → 0), and Niagara handles the entire behavior procedurally. 🎯 Goal: To make each impact feel alive — smoothly appearing, reaching its peak, and fading out — without timers, manual resets, or external logic. Just a clean, fully procedural system driven by real-time data. ✨ Current Features: - dynamic response to every hit. - natural fade-in → hold → fade-out behavior. - multiple impacts interacting across the surface. - stable performance even with rapid fire or overlapping hits. - writes impact data directly into a Render Target, which the material samples to visualize the shield’s dynamic reaction. This already forms a solid foundation for future effects like shield reactions, energy pulses, shockwaves, heat distortions, decals, and other reactive VFX elements.

This practice focuses on explosive tactics, bombarding multiple enemies using different ways to trigger these sequences: Targeted Sequence: The main character target a group of enemies and launch a missile at each, causing an explosion upon impact at the designated enemy location. Area Barrage (Radius): Unleash a barrage over a specified radius, raining down explosive devastation across a defined area. Area Barrage (Linear Direction): Initiate a barrage along a linear trajectory, unleashing explosive attacks over the enemies inside the area. All the assets required for the effects were created in Houdini and Substance. Rendered in Unreal. The main character and enemies are Paragon Assets from the Marketplace.

A few of the bow skills I've worked on. I specially like how Tornado Shot turned out, even when compared with other wind themed skills. I also really enjoyed working on Magnetic Salvo, trying to bring out the magnetic feeling with a initially slow projectile that accelerates at the end with a flash of red to represent it being magnetized to the target.

Hey guys, It's been a while! Last year I've been working with the amazing team on "The Lost Glitches" card game. The game has finisher mechanics, which allows players to shiny finish off an opposite player once HP reaches to 0. I did several of different finishers, and several of different ambient BG VFX, which I will post as well soon. I've been brainstorming the ideas of VFX and I created the ideas behind most of the finishers, including this one, from idea to realisation. Currently I'm looking for a part-time or freelance opportunities, and possibly available for booking on a full-time employment during the month.

The remaining elemental spells I made for the Sorceress! For the cold projectiles, I tried to come up with a different style for each one so they're easily recognizable. Eye of Winter uses Freezing Shards as its secondary projectiles, in the same way Fireball releases smaller Firebolts. For the lightning spells, Orb of Storms is my favorite one, a fresh look to a classic skill. The lightning bolt ended up being used in many other different contexts and helped define the style for lightning magic.
