G3 Grow Beyond Scholarship

Up to six recipients are awarded $5000 each. Applications should be submitted by May 3, 2024. Applicants must be entering a Canadian post-secondary institution. An application must be filled which complements a one-to-two minute video submitted which describes how the applicant sees the future of agriculture. The video will be graded mostly on the answers to the following questions: "What is your chosen field of study and why does it interest you?", "What is one major challenge facing the world that you believe could be addressed through innovation in the field of agriculture?", and "Describe this innovation and how your studies can achieve it.". Other factors affecting likelihood of reception include online public voting of the video and community or school involvement.

Up to nine recipients are awarded $2500 each. Applications should be submitted by July 7, 2024. Applicants must be a dependent or partner of a member of Component Unions of NUPGE and enrolled in their first year of post-secondary education at a Canadian institution. Manulife Life Lessons Scholarship Program

Recipients are awarded $10 000 each. Applications should be submitted by March 31, 2024. Applicants must have experienced the death of a parent or legal guardian who had little to no life insurance coverage. An application must include an under 500 word essay or under three minute video detailing how the death of a parent or legal guardian without adequate life insurance affected the family's financial situation and what the applicant has done to provide for themselves and other family members because of financial challenges their family has faced. Recipients will be selected based on the compelling nature of the story, its instructiveness with regards to the importance of life insurance, and the determination of the student to not allow their loss to prevent the realisation of their goal of higher education.
