Steven Universe: Amethyst and Peridot (can be read as shippy or gen), first-time fusion. // "It would improve the integrity of the group if I were able to fuse with another Crystal Gem," Peridot said stiffly. "I believe that you are the best initial candidate."

Steven Universe: Steven, Peridot, ensemble, gen. Plotty what-if that was written after Jailbreak, 84k words in total. Very gripping! // "A fight with the Crystal Gems has left Peridot cracked within an inch of her life. Trapped on Earth, with no one and no way to get home, Peridot's all but given up hope. But she doesn't know the lengths Steven is willing to go to in order to keep her alive."

Undertale: Asgore, Asriel, the fallen humans, and the ensemble. Spoilers for all the endings. This fic made me ache in the best way (and it even has a happy ending after all the angst). 32k words. // "King Asgore encounters the seven."

Homestuck: Dave x Karkat, sweet sex. // "Mm," Dave shakes his head, flattening his hands, dragging his palms around Karkat's torso pillar and sliding them slowly down his sides, caressing all his various bumps and ridges with his thumbs. Karkat leans heavily against him. His heart is suddenly racing. God, he loves this feeling. He almost loves the anticipation more than any actual explicit flushed activity. Almost. "The things I'm thinking about maybe wanting to do... yeah." He laughs again, a little more nervously. His hands are warm on Karkat's hips. "Definitely need a dude."

Homestuck: Kanaya ♦ Terezi, with background Kanaya/Rose and Terezi/Rose. Short, cute. // "There are parts of moirallegiance that are the stuff of grand romance, sweeping novels; things that makes one fantasize about plucking girls out of hell and boys out of the air. As it is, Kanaya chooses comedy."

South Park: Kyle x Stan. // "In 1862, Kyle's family is forced to move from New York to a tiny mining settlement at the foot of Pike's Peak in Colorado. Kyle is sixteen years old and miserable until he meets Stan, a fellow transplant who has been in town for three years. Their feelings for each other are shadowed by the town's haunted history, and for Kyle the local legends begin to feel more like real nightmares."

Jake's been earning a lot of pinched-eyebrows, lately. He is starting to wonder if maybe he isn't a very good boyfriend. A good boyfriend would be less exhausted at the prospect of spending more time with the object of their affection. A better boyfriend would have found some way by now to leverage that time into fewer planetary expeditions and more explorations of a more personal and intimate nature.
