He shows up every other weekend, or every third week, suggesting dinner and movies and cuddling on the couch every time he's around. They have a routine that works for them, and every night that Shinkai is over it ends with Arakita sandwiched between Shinkai and Kinjou in their bed, struggling to prove that he's anything other than utterly content."

Yowamushi Pedal: Shinkai (Hayato) x Kinjou x Tadokoro, domestic fluff. "Tadokoro is the one who loves to cook – he makes meals for his family because it warms him inside, to see them enjoying his good food."

Yowamushi Pedal: Arakita x Kinjou, Imaizumi x Kinjou, possible future Arakita x Imaizumi. "Kinjou is used to being needed, and he is certain that he can balance the delicate little thing he's begun with them, is certain he can show to both of his boyfriends how something good can work."

Yowamushi Pedal: Arakita/Kinjou and Kinjou/Makishima (and possible future Arakita/Makishima). "Kinjou is offered a permanent job with a good company before he's even finished his final year of university. Makishima flies back to Japan from England for the occasion, wanting to celebrate the good news with his long-distance boyfriend in person. For Arakita, though, it's complicated — both watching his boyfriend interact with his other boyfriend for the very first time and navigating the issue of exactly where he and Makishima stand."

Yowamushi Pedal: Imaizumi/Midousuji (D/s-flavored), Manami/Onoda (regular-flavored), 65k words, incomplete but mostly stands alone as-is. // "Midousuji and Imaizumi hate each other. This is a plain-stated fact. The problem with that fact lies in the details, wherein being irritating mirror images of one another is both infuriating and soothing. "At least you get it" isn't the most pleasant statement when it comes from your worst enemy."

Yowamushi Pedal: Imaizumi x Makishima UST. // "Ah, no," Imaizumi says. "But if it's soreness that's troubling you, I do know a bit about massage. I could help you with that."

Yowamushi Pedal: Imaizumi x Teshima, with general loyalty + submission dynamics. "Imaizumi remembers the exact moment when Teshima first impressed him. And while that may have been on the road, and though he is undoubtedly the better cyclist, he has been working ever since to impress Teshima outside of racing. It's simply a matter of respect — and of the fluttery, proud feeling in his chest when he lives up to Teshima's carefully delineated expectations."

Yowamushi Pedal: Kinjou x Naruko (preslash), AU. // Kinjou works as a bartender. Naruko never misses karaoke night at his bar. They get to know each other well over the months, not in the least because Naruko is always demanding drinks and because until his birthday comes to pass, Kinjou has no choice but to tell him "no."

Hunter x Hunter, Killua and Gon travelogue, with general UST/companionship vibes. I loved the Killua voice in this. "Slice-of-life. Travelling through the rainforest with Killua and Gon."

Homestuck: Dave x Karkat. "A beginner's guide to playing hopscotch, overcoming internalized homophobia, and falling in love with your alien best friend."

Hunter x Hunter: Kurapika x Leorio. // "There were good things to come from waking up early."

Hunter x Hunter: Killua x Gon, Kurapika, Leorio, Bisky, modern AU, suspense. "Gon and Killua weren't normal. They were teenage boys, for fuck's sake."

Hunter x Hunter: Kurapika x Leorio. First time fic. I liked this! "Sharing a hotel room with Leorio leads to a multitude of bizarre instances for Kurapika."

Hunter x Hunter: Biscuit x Hisoka, with sexy powerplay. "Biscuit isn't interested in a fight to the death, but there is something else she'd like Hisoka to do for her."

Hunter x Hunter: Gon x Killua UST. There's no actual cuddling per se, but there's loving hand-stroking which is essentially the same kink for me. "Gon and Killua have a hunter job awaiting them at a new city, right at the end of a train ride they rush to catch. Killua expects he'll have to be the one to calm Gon down. Instead, Gon surprises him with a very pragmatic outlook -- no matter what lies ahead, for the moment it's only him and Killua, and he's happy to be the one to give Killua a little soothing attention."

Ace Attorney: Edgeworth, Phoenix, and OC. "Edgeworth's pornstar lookalike is the latest witness in court."

Ace Attorney: Klavier x Larry. This was delightful. "Klavier and Larry start fake-dating. Then feelings happen."

Ace Attorney: Miles x Phoenix, Klavier x Apollo and Klavier x Ema UST, ensemble shenanigans, 132k words, sweet and funny and solidly IC. "Miles Edgeworth isn't totally sure how he ended up in this bet to demonstrate the strength of his and Phoenix Wright's (entirely professional and platonic! really!) relationship, but he knows it's Klavier's fault."

Homestuck: Rose x Kanaya, poetic body horror. "In death, Kanaya is becoming a flower girl."

Homestuck: Rose x Kanaya. "While on the meteor, Rose and Kanaya learn that bantering in real life is harder than they expected. There are all sorts of things to consider! Like reaction times, getting used to how attractive your new alien friend is, and whether your clothes clash with your eyes."

Homestuck: Kankri x Karkat, 22k, unfinished WIP (but I found it satisfying anyway). Kurloz is a bit of a one-dimensional baddie, but I really loved this take on Kankri and his dynamic with Karkat. // "A pair of white eyes was looking haughtily at him from another shelf. Or, no, this was some other sweater, one who wasn't even wearing the sweater. Also, he was a god-tier, and younger, probably not even seven sweeps. He'd clearly been there a while, given that he'd cleared out part of a four-foot-tall oversized shelf so he could sit in it."

Homestuck: Rose x Kanaya, Karkat, Dave, and a whole bunch of other characters. AU where trolls are enslaved on earth and a whole lot of other peculiar details slowly reveal themselves. 60k words, creative and strange, great character voices. It's currently unfinished, but I still found it really intriguing as-is. // "In Which A Vampire, Accompanied By Her Mutant Moirail And On The Run From A Sinister Confectionery Mogul, Blogs Unkind Things About YA Vampire Novels; The Author Of One Such Work Responds In A Hostile Fashion While Intoxicated; Structures, Conveyances, And Fragile Emotional Equilibria Are Thoroughly Wrecked; Works Of Popular Fiction Are Criticized In Ways Inadvertently Revealing Of The Critics' Anxieties; And Pirates Present A Problem."

Persona 4: Kanji x Souji. "He doesn't want Souji to think that he's pitying him, but at the same time, he wants him to know that he cares, because he does, so much–he's never had a friend like Souji: understanding, compassionate, caring, selflessly kind to the point that it's a little bit overwhelming, but he's so glad for him most days that it's hard not to pull him aside and babble something embarrassing to him. He wants to return the favor adequately."

Persona 4: everyone's-a-girl AU, with some Souji x Yosuke, Souji x Yukiko, and Naoto x Yosuke hints. Written for the Persona 4 kink meme, for the prompt: "Yasogami High is now St. Yasogami's School for Girls, a small, well-known, all-girls boarding school with a reputation for taking in delinquents. Nearly all the girls are dangerous in some way."

Persona 4: AU with a female protagonist, 40k words, with some interesting character work thrown in there. "AU: One year with Shouko Seta. A retelling of Persona 4 with a female protagonist. Naturally, spoilers for the entire game."

Persona 4: what-if where Yumi gets a shadow. "We've been watching you for some time, Yumi. The forest is waiting for you."

Persona 4: Daisuke x Kou, get-together fic. "Daisuke sees someone on the Midnight Channel. He assumes it's Kou."

Homestuck: Bro x Dave x John, vampire AU. // "Okay," you say, your mouth dry, "okay. What the fuck is this supposed to be?" // Bro smirks at you from the couch. "Dessert," he says. His eyes glow through the douchebag shades he took off some kid you guys ate last month. He pets John's hair absently and John does nothing, a puppet whose strings aren't getting pulled. "Can't tell me you don't want him, kiddo."

Prince of Tennis: gigantic ensemble fic, but some of the characters and pairings I liked were Fuji/Kawamura, Fuji/Mizuki, Yuuta (with background but not endgame Mizuki/Yuuta and one-sided Yuuta--Shuusuke), Atobe/Ryoma, Kintarou/Ryoma and Kaidou/Zaizen. There are also many other pairings and characters (see tags). The prose style of these fics didn't always gel for me 100% but I found them pretty addictive nonetheless, and I really like their takes on a few characters (Fuji and Ryoma especially). // "AU in which Rikkai wins the Kantou Tournament instead of Seigaku. That's where it starts--with Echizen Ryouma struggling to come to terms with his loss against Sanada Genichirou. Rikkai still attempts to flourish, but Yukimura finds it easier said than done to return to his former glory. Ryouma, meanwhile, finds tutelage in one Atobe Keigo, but faces his own demons in the form of doubt, something he's never felt before."

Homestuck: John x Vriska urban fantasy AU, 27k words, part of oxfordRoulette's "Underworld" series. I found this totally engrossing. // "You meet a dead girl with a body like fire who throws you into her really, really weird plans."
