Yowamushi Pedal: Arakita x Fukutomi, 23k words, cute and funny and super hot. "Misunderstandings need not apply, and yet, that seems to be the norm between Fukutomi and Arakita. This is a collection of a great number of those misunderstandings, and how, eventually, these boys manage to Do It."

Yowamushi Pedal: Makishima x Toudou, 36k words, get-together fic. I found this very cute. "It's a given that Toudou is here. He's always at the peak (a few seconds behind or in front), he's always on the other end of the phone, and he's certainly always planning more races so that he can end up racing Makishima again. Makishima has accepted this as much as he's accepted that he's Maki-chan, and that's the beginning of the end, he supposes."

Yowamushi Pedal: Kinjou x Makishima, with hints of (possibly endgame) Toudou x Makishima. "It's a relief to have their own team, and to still have one another. It's even more of a relief to find a kindred spirit, which is exactly what Kinjou and Makishima have found in one another."

Yowamushi Pedal: Manami x Toudou. "Toudou is very much a virgin. Manami decides to help...for Maki-chan's future sake, of course. Pointless, smutty PWP."

Yowamushi Pedal: Arakita x Fukutomi, Izumida x Shinkai (Hayato), Manami x Shinkai (Yuuto, trans girl in this fic), Midousuji x Onoda, Machimiya, Kinjou, Imaizumi, background Makishima x Toudou and general ensemble antics. 203k words, interhigh + year 2 manga spoilers. It took a few chapters for me to get into due to wandering POV and a few stray tumblrisms, but overall I really enjoyed it. // "Road racing is a Big Deal. Other big deals include boyfriends, college, and at least a dozen family issues floating around at one time. Innocuous as it all may be, it builds up, and that is especially an issue when the enemy is within oneself."

Yowamushi Pedal: Arakita x Shinkai with past Arakita -- Fukutomi, set in a hypothetical future where Fukutomi was killed in a cycling accident and Arakita still hasn't moved on. I loved this fic's portrayal of grief and depression, and everything it takes to finally start to heal. 52k words. // "Arakita finally finds someone to whom he can sell his Bianchi, and it all goes downhill from there as life opens doors to places he wanted to leave behind."

Homestuck: Dirk, Dirk splinters, gen. Postmodernism. // "FOUR DIRKS stand in an ANTECHAMBER. There are as many CHAIRS as there are STAIRS, which is to say, a lot. There is an INVERTED RHINOCEROUS here. A WITHERED TREE grows incongruously next to the fireplace. Above the stage is suspended a SHODDY REPRODUCTION OF DAMIEN HIRST’S “SOME COMFORT GAINED FROM THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE INHERENT LIES IN EVERYTHING”, except with a HORSE. It drips."

Homestuck: Dave x Karkat. "He pauses for breath, clenching his hands into fists, and it occurs to you that the one word that hasn’t been unleashed in the godawful torrent of semantically bereft word garbage coming out of his mouth is stop."

Homestuck: Karkat x Sollux, vibrator fun times. // "I got you this." He sets a tiny box on the table between you and nudges it in your direction with psionics. You stare at it. It's the right size to hold a human-style commitment-designation ring, which you sometimes think would be a cool thing to have but as far as you know he's never been interested in. "For those times when I'm being a jackass and you need to snap me out of it." A little smile, a hint of the smug asslord creeping back in around the edges of the apologetic matesprit. "Or when you just want a shortcut to getting my attention."

Homestuck: Dave x Karkat. "On the list of "Things Karkat Needs to Remember To Pack for Surviving This Fucking Game, In Order of Priority," hair styling utensils fell somewhere between "rubble that crushed my lusus" and "last sweep's decomposable trash, recently unburied from the back lawnring, along with all those bodies of the undead I had to kill." In other words, somebody needs to give that boy a brush."

Homestuck: Horuss x Roxy, 26k words. "It’s really weird. Because he’s there, like, all the time, at all the get-togethers and parties and dinners, only you’d never notice if you weren’t looking for him."

Harry Potter: Draco x Harry, 50k words. I really liked the characterization on this one. // Harry thinks "Why is Malfoy working in a coffee shop in muggle London?" is a much simpler question than, "Are you going to accept that auror offer and, if you don't, what will you do?"

Les Miserables: Enjolras x Grantaire, high school AU, 185k words, the slow-build fake boyfriends fic I could not put down. "Grantaire the disaffected stoner is pulled into a cause bigger than himself. Or: in which there are pretend boyfriends for great justice."

Ace Attorney: Apollo x Klavier. "Does the world need another Klavier-and-Apollo-fall-in-love-post-AA4 fic? Probably not, but that's what this is."

Ace Attorney: Apollo x Klavier, 46k words, plotty and well-characterized. "In the aftermath of his brother's arrest, Klavier is trying to balance his law career and a solo music career, with some success—but with less savory consequences as well. His fans are fixating on every aspect of his life, desperate for his attention and jealous of his relationships with the people around him. They've singled out his courtroom rival, Apollo Justice, as the target of their frustrations."

Homestuck: Dave x AU Highblood Karkat. "The sensible thing would be to get out of here and revert to plan "avoid everyone until we're through this bubble." You've seen how scary-violent trolls can get. On the other hand, Karkat. You've been increasingly aware of your own Karkat as a potential makeouts friend for months now, which might be just a lack of other options who aren't a) your ex, b) your sister, c) dating your sister, d) the Mayor, or e) COMPLETELY PSYCHO, but despite the poor reasoning it's still a thing. Your Karkat has seemed pretty oblivious. Evil Karkat, though...."

Yowamushi Pedal: Ishigaki x Midousuji, consensual humiliation. "He likes how terrible Midousuji is. He likes having to apologize for him to waitstaff. He likes the pitying looks they give him and the side-eyes to Midousuji. He loves how Midousuji has a way of convincing him to want things he initially thought he couldn’t. "

Homestuck: Jade x Kanaya, Aradiabot x Jadebot, space AU, 19k words. This was sweet and fun. "Action! Romance! Space! Alien fashion! Anti-determinism! Robot angst! Space! (Or: The adventures of Captain Harley of the Earth Special Spatial Regiment and her companion, Ms. Maryam the tailor/smuggler extraordinaire, being also a tale of two robots and their unexpected development of sentience.)"

Attack on Titan: Bertolt x Erwin. "Erwin, having inadvertently forced Bertholdt into swearing a life debt to him by taking personal responsibility for Bertholdt's safety, must now figure out how they can work together, and how he can accept personal service from his own trainee. Or, alternatively, an excuse for me to figure out service submission kinks."

Attack on Titan: Erwin x Levi modern AU, slow-build BDSM relationship with lots of h/c, 65k words, really really hot. "Recently discharged from the military after losing an arm during a training exercise, Erwin Smith returns to the BDSM club he once frequented, hoping to find someone willing to give him control. There, he is introduced to Levi, another former soldier, new to the scene and burdened with a past he's unwilling to speak of."

Gundam Wing: Duo x Wufei, 230k words, plotty action-adventure (+ romance) fic. "Freeport colony: a notorious den of pirates, smugglers and thieves. Wufei persuades one of its denizens, his one-time ally Duo, to help him catch a killer hiding there. Agent Chang thinks he knows what to expect, from this case, from Freeport and from Duo Maxwell. He couldn't be more wrong."

Homestuck: Dave x Future Dave, Dave -- Rose implied, selfcest with verbal humiliation and self-loathing. // “Welcome to the Strider subconscious sex safari,” he mutters into your ear. You can feel his breath, cool against where he’s left his saliva on your skin. “You’re about to find out a lot of shit about yourself you never fucking wanted to know.”
