What signs do you see in your CYP that tell you they are anxious about school? In our autistic tween-difficulties going to sleep, night & early morning waking, tummy aches at bed time, resistance to going to bed. Slower than usual morning routine. @teamsquarepeg @_MissingTheMark https://t.co/9auQfrkvSw— lisa chapman (@CommonSenseSLT) October 10, 2022

So vital for schools to hear autistic CYP sensory preferences to inform accommodations- our CYP needs to see where he is going to regulate, hates the dark if moving, looks at feet/ holds rail when walking downstairs. Not being allowed to be at the front=meltdown @NotFineinSchool— lisa chapman (@CommonSenseSLT) October 10, 2022

I've literally just read this in an article https://t.co/Ntt5fUjNjZ - It's a young autistic person talking about their perceptions of disability- wow! So much insight. I wonder how often non-autistic CYPs think in this much depth #DoubleEmpathy— lisa chapman (@CommonSenseSLT) October 10, 2022
