Don't Forget the Feather | American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of North America
Don't Forget the Feather | American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of North America
There’s a Chinese Proverb that shares, “listen to all, pluck a feather from every passing goose”. It is so easy to get caught up in our own narrative, our sinful pride—like the Pharisee—makes this extremely easy. On the other hand, it is also easy to look at those around us and see only their faults and flaws (again our pride), remember God doesn’t pay us to be a critic of His handiwork. We never know when Christ is going to speak to us from the most flaw-ridden and unlikely of sources. The Website of American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of North America

Be Safe | American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of North America
There’s a restaurant my wife and I attend fairly regularly and we often end up with the same waiter. He always ends the night by saying the same two things: “Enjoy the rest of your evening” and “be safe.” Be safe. Of course, we all try our best to be safe. Unfortunately, there are some times when our safety is out of our hands. We can be the most careful driver around and still get in an accident. Jesus Drinks Decaf | American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of North America
I served Christ coffee 82 times in 30 minutes a year ago this month, the most transactions our store has ever had. In fact He proceeded to order 8 more drinks by the end of the hour and in the morning rush He ordered at least 260 different beverages in the span of 120 minutes. Each time He came to the register He had on a different outfit, a different hairstyle, and a different expression. It can be difficult to see Christ in everyone when the line builds up out the door and the pressure to be less kind and reactionary begins to grow. However, when we do see Christ in each and every person it becomes that much easier to not react, to love honestly, and to turn a deaf ear to the devil who strives to end Christ’s love from be shared so freely. Climaxing: Health Benefits and Tips - Women's Health Arizona
Having an orgasm tends to be an amazing experience, but many women struggle to have one. Research shows that up to 40 percent of women have trouble achieving orgasm, and orgasms only come easily for somewhere around 10 percent of women.

Initiation: Men's Initiation | Encyclopedia.com
INITIATION: MEN'S INITIATION The word initiation implies a new beginning, as the Latin initium suggests. By means of a rite of passage or transition, a person is separated from one social or religious status and incorporated into another. From a religious perspective, initiation may be seen as an encounter with the sacred. The transition is therefore a profound one, with the initiand emerging from the passage changed not only socially but existentially and spiritually as well. Why All Males Need Rites of Passage
Why All Males Need Rites of Passage
Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). The following is taken from chapter 2 of Leaving Boyhood Behind. Some transitions in life are so radical that the old form of life simply cannot continue into the new […]

Toll-like receptor 4 stimulation with the detoxified ligand monophosphoryl lipid A improves Alzheimer’s disease-related pathology | PNAS
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia worldwide. The pathogenesis of this neurodegenerative disease, currently without curative treatment, is associated with the accumulation of amyloid β (Aβ) in brain parenchyma and cerebral vasculature. AD patients are unable to clear this toxic peptide, leading to Aβ accumulation in their brains and, presumably, the pathology associated with this devastating disease. Compounds that stimulate the immune system to clear Aβ may therefore have great therapeutic potential in AD patients. Monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL) is an LPS-derived Toll-like receptor 4 agonist that exhibits unique immunomodulatory properties at doses that are nonpyrogenic. We show here that repeated systemic injections of MPL, but not LPS, significantly improved AD-related pathology in APPswe/PS1 mice. MPL treatment led to a significant reduction in Aβ load in the brain of these mice, as well as enhanced cognitive function. MPL induced a potent phagocytic response by microglia while triggering a moderate inflammatory reaction. Our data suggest that the Toll-like receptor 4 agonist MPL may be a treatment for AD.
