So labbing vs Sol pressure

I think I've found a pretty good spread of defensive options want to hear what you guys think

The strings that I've found to be the hardest to deal with were when the Sol would RPS off only the plus moves

cSfS > dash cSfS, the cS would catch a late backdash, and it would turn into a fS that punished you if you backdashe'd early

cSfS > 5H frame trap, smoke you for trying to stop him from resetting pressure
[10:07 AM]
cSfS > fS, force the situation again and force block on a fuzzy jump or something
[10:07 AM]
cSfS dash up throw, once you're finally conditioned to sit there
[10:07 AM]
I used to think backdashing the 5H and risking a mash to stop the pressure resets was just how the RPS worked

But it's High risk for medium reward

The chance that he goes for a throw without meter to RC it is pretty low anyways, if the Sol is good

So thinking more about more complex defensive options I've found these two options to be low risk medium to high reward, and cover loooots of options

Both options hinge on you stand FDing fS, but might not be imparative need to test more

Option 1: Stand FD > fuzzy 2K 214K[P+K], you delay the button long enough that you would block a fS > fS or fS5H, it's only to challenge the pressure resets that include dashing up

It'll beat dash up cS or throw, and only really is punished by fS 6S or fS bandit bringer. Blocking almost every frame trap he would go for. He can do some layered pressure with delaying his pressure, but that's a win since it creates more time for other options and at least it's a CH fS instead of a CH 5H (edited)

You get hit, but the other option mitigates that and the risk is lower cuz it's not 5H frame trap

Option 2: Stand FD > stand FD fuzzy backdash

The main issue with option 1 is that if he does fS fS, you just block it and he gets to keep pressuring

This one will make his fS fS > frame trap 5H whiff, along with most other frame traps

Presenting you with a pretty strong situation

The fuzzy backdash is so that you can avoid him doing a dash throw that is meant to punish you for being too passive

This one will still sort of lose to fS dash up cS, but that's why there is 2 options

The big issue with fuzzying against sol is that even if your reward off it is good his reward off a callout gets absurd

So option 1 stops pressure resets and throws, except for fS fS. Loses to layered pressure and specific frame traps.
Option 2 negates the frame trap options from fS fS, punishes throw attempts, and safe from frame traps that beat option 1. Loses to the initial pressure reset

But you can take the risk of being thrown, to avoid having option 2 punished by dash up cS

I think this is the best educated guessing game you can make vs his strike throw pressure

Everyone was saying she's simple strike throw blah blah, people will figure her out over time and she'll fall off

When in reality, Gio being so based around fundamental rps situations in the game. As people grew to understand those situations, she would get better.

Trash girl, she can't combo her jabs and 2D takes forever to start up

She can't do anything once you just deal with strike throw, she needs an overhead

And honestly her damage is pretty low when you compare her to the top 5 like gold lewis Pot and Sol

Those 3 also have waaaay better defensive options
