Yo ningens. today I will be going over the new stuff that giovanna got in the new patch in guilty gear strive. I'll be going over her combos, and her loops so stay tune. hope toy all enjoy the video, and find it helpful. #FGC #guiltygearstrive #guiltygearstirvegiovanna (combo notations below) P = Punch K = Kick S = Slash HS = Heavy Slash D = Dust COMBO GUIDE AND NOTATIONS qcf = quarcter circle forward/236 qcb = quarter circle back/214 DP = Dragon Punch motion, forward, down, downforward/623 f = forward/6 b = back/4 cl. = Close 789 456 123 Notations according to number method are just like keys on your keyboard. So 236 equals down, downforward, forward. 5 IS No direction/neutral. QUICK NOTE ABOUT HER LOOPS So Giovannas new big thing in the patch is jumping HS into dust loops. A lot of the best new combos use this in some form and there is plenty examples in the video. The big thing is you simply can't hit them both right away, there is a specific timing needed. Generally speaking this is the simple rule of it, if you can delay the HS any bit, its better, as you will launch them higher, and the longer you can delay the dust the better, as you will land closer to the ground. LEARN THIS FIRST 2k, (214K) dash S, HS, 214k P, 6P, 214k dash~k, 6p, 214k(great whiff punish/party starter) (NOTE 6p into 214k gives really good knockdown, where you can dash forward, cl.S, and get iad HS which is a safejump) BASIC COMBOS cl.S, 2S, 2HS 214k, K, 214k(good hitconfirm, doesn't auto lose to fd like cl.S 2hs does) cl.S, 2HS, 214k, dash~K, 6HS x3 (corner) cl.S, 2HS, 214k, K, jump H, D (wallbreak) (corner ) cl.S, 2S, 2HS, 214k, 5HS,214K (wallbreak) midscreen or close to corner) cl.s, 5HS, 214K, Dash 5k, j.HS,J.D,5K,214K (Wallbreak) CROSSUP COMBOS crossup jump K, 214S, 214K crossup jump K, 214S, dash, cl.S otg, then instant air dash HS is guaranteed wakeup pressure that's a safejump crossup jump K,214S, Roman cancel DOWN, cl.S, 214K, K, 214K COUNTER HIT COMBOS CH Close S, Jump HS, delay D, land, dash-K, 214K CH Close S, Jump HS, delay D, land, dash-K, 214K, Dash Cl.s (midscreen or closer to corner), Cl.S, jump HS, delay D, land dash-k jump HS, delay J.D, 5K, 214K, (wallbreak) 2D SWEEP COUNTER HIT COMBOS (close) ch sweep, 214k, 5k, cl.S, 2HS, 236K (far) ch sweep, dash -5k,cl.S, 2HS, 236K Charged dust combo - HS, jump, HS, J.D, HS, jump HS, HS THE BIG BOY "INFINITE" Dash kick, jump S on way up, jump HS at peak, jump dust on way down. Repeat. there's timing on it, but you can do it! It will take you a few tries though. keep in mind anytime you can get dashing kick you are guaranteed to get this on the big characters! (Faust, Pot, & Goldie)
