By performing a block at the moment before an attack hits, you will get an Instant Block(IB). You will see the a giant white circle around you and the words JUST in yellow(top left). VVV SEE MORE VVV Instant/Just Blocks give you zero pushback on block and you gain a bit of Tension(meter). In this situation I set May to Block All and Counter Attack with a Crouching Slash. I used Giovanna's 214K since it is safe on block(unsure if +). I tested an IB into a Kick and Slash starter but they were too slow. See example 2 ( https://youtu.be/-jseDG6otyk ) for a JB vs a Heavy Slash. At the moment of IB I used P, 214K into an RC combo. IB's aren't the easiest to perform but I believe if you prep yourself enough, it can come in handy when you are able to take that opportunity.
