Pepper's first day on the job of dealing with Tony is definitely a three coffee day.

A Gift To Be Simple by arsenic
A Gift To Be Simple by arsenic
Darcy kind of thinks she's landed the all-time crew of less-fortunates this year. She's thought a lot about what's going in to everyone's basket. Darcy delivers Purim baskets to the avengers. Oh my heart.

Darcy falls down a well. No, seriously. And then Steve makes it worse when he tries to rescue her. This is adorable.

Adorable post-ep for 1.16 in which Joan and Sherlock contemplate redecorating the brownstone.

“I was testing the velocity of various sock brands,” he says, which is a sort of truth. He was really just bored and throwing socks around, but it sounds better if he couches it in scientific terms. Watson gives him a flat look. “So you were bored.” “Of course not!” Holmes protests immediately. “Knowing the difference in velocity between, say, my orange toe socks and my purple zebra socks could one day be essential to a crime.” The look Watson gives him is a familiar one. It’s her you-are-shitting-me-I-swear-to-God-it’s-a-miracle-I-haven’t-killed-you-yet look. Watson’s looks are quite eloquent. It’s amazing how much disdain, frustration, and cynicism she can communicate with a simple glance. “I don’t care how bored you get, Sherlock. You’re going to keep your socks out of my room!” Sherlock and Joan adjust to living and working together. This is ADORABLE. It put a huge smile on my face.

Steve knows what Bucky does, when he trades in the bright blue and red for something dark, almost black. When he wears the domino mask not to hide his identity, but to hide pale skin. His hair just brushes his eyes and he doesn't bother to push it aside as he checks his gun one last time. He doesn't look at Steve as he leaves. He never looks at Steve. Steve knows what Bucky is, what Bucky does. He takes care of him afterward. Lovely.

Five times Steve was there for Clint and Natasha, and one time they were there for him. I really like Steve's quiet determination to be there for the team, and how it's slowly reciprocated.

But Natasha, she doesn’t say anything at all. She stays in the background and frowns. He doesn’t like to admit it, but Phil’s kind of hurt. He knows Natasha and emotions don’t get along too well, but he’d thought she liked him, a little bit, enough to be glad of his current state of not being dead. He was expecting to get maybe one of her tiny, rare smiles, or at least a flash of her dry and frequently morbid sense of humor. Instead he gets frowns. After she finds out he's not dead, Natasha takes Coulson grocery shopping. This is adorable.

Cute bit of Steve/Darcy fluff. Darcy hates Valentine's Day because her birthday is the day before, so Steve throws her a birthday party.

Really fascinating story that fuses the comics with the Nolanverse, or maybe just adds Robins. (because let's face it - Batman needs a Robin, and so did those movies.)

"If you have concerns,” she continues, “or thoughts or anything about the men I date, you are welcome to talk to me like a rational adult, but you do not ever do this again.” She wiggles her phone in front of his nose, which wrinkles in displeasure. “Are we clear?” “Quite,” says Sherlock. “Feelings, actions, talking, never again. Quite clear." [...] "Yes, all right," he says eventually, his expression somewhere between a pout and a scowl. “I apologize.” He lifts another spoonful to his mouth and says, still chewing, “I was only trying to be helpful.” Joan doesn’t doubt it. It’s just that Sherlock’s attempts to be helpful fail spectacularly almost as many times as they succeed. “Next time, just double check with me that you’re actually being helpful first,” she says, in her firmest no-nonsense voice, and waits for him to nod solemnly before she turns to go back upstairs. Joan dates and Sherlock tries not to interfere. This is really lovely and in character.

“Think of it as a safety measure you would take in the lab,” he says, trying to head Tony off with science. “A redundancy — it’s not going to be important unless a dozen other things go wrong, but you feel safer knowing it’s in place.” “You’re assuming that Tony actually takes safety measures in the lab,” Pepper says, raising an eyebrow. She shoots a sweet smile at Tony when he glares. “First of all, I am a very responsible scientist and I completely understand the reasons why someone would have redundant safety measures,” Tony tells Bruce haughtily. “And secondly…” he shrugs. “Works for me.” Bruce looks at Pepper, who nods her agreement. “You’re both sure?” he asks. “I mean, it’s not exactly going to be difficult, is it?” Tony asks incredulously. “Just ask permission before you do anything. Oh, and how about: mess up, you get a five-minute time out or something. That sound good?” Pepper and Bruce look at each other and nod. great character voices and stupidly hot Tony/Pepper/Bruce.

“I know this is going to sound strange,” he says, immediately. “But I don’t suppose you know who I am?” The blonde man blinks and the corners of his mouth turn down. “Damn. I was hoping you could tell me who I am.” He can only laugh. He runs his hand through his hair and shakes his head. “So, I don’t know who I am. You don’t know who you are. But one of us probably lives here?” “Maybe both of us?” says the blonde guy. He nods. “It, well. It kind of looks that way.” Steve and Bucky wake up with amnesia. Hijinks, and complications, ensue. Oh my heart. I love this.
