The thing about Gotham City is the part where it's Gotham City. LA made sense; demons downtown, humans uptown, and a whole seedy underbelly that made the whole thing work. Gotham makes some hell dimensions he's seen look downright respectable. After NFA, Gunn ends up in the Gotham City DA's office. Batman gets turned into an actual bat, despite not believing in magic, and Gunn's assistant may not be human. Just another day at the office, then. I found this hilariously entertaining. Jones does not punch him; that would be brutality. But he's tempted. He grits his teeth for a second and thinks about all the cases he's chased Hardison on--tax fraud, messing with international bank accounts, hacking systems Jones had never heard of--and how fast they all turned to nothing. "Don't let him touch anything with buttons or a battery; he's been convicted on two counts of computer-related fraud and those are just the ones we could finally pin on him. He's here as a--" Jones is really coming to hate the word "--consultant." Burke raises his eyebrows. "I didn't realize I was setting a trend." "I kind of wish you hadn't," Jones says.

She makes him feel so stupid, sometimes. Her cold analysis makes the articles of his faith sound small and silly. Pitiful under that harsh light, like bones on a table: neatly deconstructed, categorized, explained. Does it have to be dead before she can see the meaning in it? Lovely ficlet in which Booth ruminates on his feelings for Brennan.

Lovely snippet of Luna and Hermione becoming friends during OotP. "It says 'I must not speak out of turn.' But I suspect what Umbridge meant was, 'I must never speak my mind or question anything, ever.' I hate her so much, I feel sick sometimes." She turned to Luna. "What's to become of the school, now? She places no value whatsoever on critical thinking." Luna nodded and offered the back of her hand as evidence. "Or imagination." The words scraped into Luna's skin read, 'I must not wonder or wander.' "It's almost as if she were attempting humor." Hermione's brow twitched and she was ashamed of herself for ever thinking poorly of Luna for her distant expressions and bizarre conversations. She swore to herself that, from now on, all enemies of Dolores Umbridge would be her friends.

Her face is still expressive through the cowl in a way that reminds him of Babs back when they were both whole. “I’m the bad one,” he says. “Sweet little thing like you shouldn’t be hanging around me.” She bursts into bright, surprised laughter. “You know, they all think we’re just alike.” “They’re wrong,” he says, which just makes her smile wider. If anything, she’s a lot like Dick, and he can see why they keep her around. “That’s what I said,” she replies. She pats the ledge beside her. “Come on, dead boy, take a load off.” “I wouldn’t think you’d be making undead jokes,” he says, because he knows the Gotham grapevine, had vicariously made himself part of the Bats through it. “Oh, but I was only mostly dead!” Jason gets conned into teaming up with Tim and Steph. This is adorable.

Dick buys Bruce a dog for his birthday. Not even Bruce can resist puppy dog eyes. Oh, *heart*

Batman is under a curse and Wonder Woman is the only one who can help him break it. I enjoyed this. I always like it when she helps him realize that she can take care of herself and also that he doesn't have to be ~forever alone~.

A spell makes Batman and Wonder Woman have sex. Their investigation into it makes them admit to their feelings for each other. There's also a trip to the Underworld and a little bit of Dick and Donna being BFF. Highly enjoyable.

DUDES. It has been forever since I posted any vids. Because I have been doing silly things like Making Things for Cons which Cannot Be Released Forever (or, in the case of one of them, until just over a week from now omgs). So, possibly I should have spent more time on it, but GLEE A VID ATE MY…

As a favor to Steph, Tim and Kon babysit, and Tim spends most of the evening agonizing over whether he should tell Kon he's gay, and moreover, that he's in love with him (Kon, I mean). This is as warm and schmoopy as your favorite snuggly blanket - very definitely OTP fic and probably too schmoopy for someone who doesn't ship them. Contains too much emotional exposition and too much repetition thereof, but Tim pining and stewing over his longing for Kon and his own sexuality hits too many of my buttons for me to care. Plus, Kon is his adorably super awesome self.

Oh, my *heart*. I want to snuggle both Tim and Kon throughout the course of this story, which is achy and funny and wonderful. Kon was back. He was really back, and he was standing in front of Tim, and Tim's hand clenched around the need to touch and make sure. Kon's smile caught on something in his chest, jerking him up short and hard, and he had to remind himself to keep breathing normally. "You showing actual emotion on an hourly basis is pretty cool," Kon continued. He was still grinning, still playing hell with Tim's upper respiratory functions. "It has to be healthier than shutting everything down the way you Bats usually do. And hey, can't blame you for wanting to hug me. People can't keep their hands off me, I am just that awesome."

Tim is sick. Kon keeps him company. So adorable.

Flash whooshed into the hangar, a blur of red and gold. "Hey Bats! So what are we doing today? Barrel rolls? Loop-de-loops?" "Takeoff and landing." "Even better. Practical skills. I like that." He whooshed away, up the ramp and into the plane. Batman sighed and tried not to roll his eyes. When Batman got into the cockpit area, Flash was running a systems check, hands blurring every few moments. "How do you take your coffee again?" "Cream and thirty-seven sugars," he replied mildly, voice slightly distracted. "But today I took a full fifty. I feel awesome." "Uh-huh." Batman hauled Flash up from the chair and dumped him unceremoniously in the nav chair. "You're riding side saddle for the first half, kid." Batman teaches Flash how to fly the javelin and they bond a little. Adorable! ♥Wally♥

Ahahahaha, this is awesome! Superman/Batman that exactly mimics the style of the narration in the S/B comics. Brilliant. And a tiny sequel is here, in which Lois gets in on the action.
