At the age of ten, Dean loses his voice and they all have to learn to live with it. Beautifully done - heartbreaking and hopeful and full of lovely brotherly moments, and a really nice handle on the boys' voices as kids.

River and the Operative

Peter, El and Neal work out the, uh, kinks in their relationship. Adorably bantery and hot.

Sam and Dean play strip poker and it ends up in some hot first time sexin'.

Dean makes tomato rice soup while Sam detoxes. Sharp and heartbreaking. When alone, Sam is explosive; when alone, Dean is poisonous. Together they fight demons and ghostproof the goddamn soup.

Sam and Dean are hunting a necromancer when things go wrong, and they have to find another way to communicate to finish off the hunt. Sharp and atmospheric.

Sam and Dean get to spend a relaxing weekend with their dad. Sort of. Adorable and happy-making.

Dean's clothes keep disappearing, leaving him naked in public, and Sam is trying not to admit he knows why. Hilarious. (Wincest)

Hee! This is adorable. El and Mozzie have tea while Peter and Neal shop for a Valentine's gift. Also, there is the possibility of waffles.

There are twenty-two words for slave on Orion, and not one of them applies to Gaila anymore. This made me tear up unexpectedly. Lovely look at the friendship between Gaila and Uhura.

And then Dean can’t breathe, can’t catch his breath because Sam is stealing it, along with everything else, boundaries and rules and all Dean knows, what he understands about his brother and how he loves Dean. Because this was supposed to be Dean, only Dean, his mishap and misunderstanding and hardwired mayhem, but somehow Sam is in on it, like a conspirator, like a reckless partner in crime. Which is what Sam is, what he’s always been, so Dean shouldn’t be surprised, he’s sick of surprise, he’s given up on surprise. Utterly gorgeous and haunting season 1 casefile featuring Sam and Dean fumbling around their relationship. (Wincest)

A word to the novelist on how to write better books

Everyone's worried about how Dan will respond to this year's SI list of 100 Most Influential People. Dan would like them to stop.
