She doesn’t say she loves him when he leaves in the suit, or when he comes back with charred armor and a bruise that will bloom along the whole length of his shoulder blade in the coming days. She can’t stand to think “I love you” could mean goodbye. Fantastic story of how Pepper and Tony could be together and mostly make it work. Sweet, poignant, heartbreaking, and true to both of them. Lovely.

Oh, Jesus, she had been the stupidest bitch on earth to think that his quietness meant he was weak. Heartbreaking, sad, hot Wes/Faith set just before she heads back to Sunnydale.

"I think all machines are pretty. I just don't say it very often because they're already so easy to get into bed." Tony Stark meets Cameron, and is completely unaware of the implications. Excellent.

Desire does not want. Really sharp look at Desire, making it almost sympathetic, yet still retaining that sharp edge.

It becomes her private hobby, scanning each face she sees for signs of the Batman. Fantastic look at how young Barbara Gordon becomes Batgirl. *hearts* I wish the movies would go there.

Hot, sweet Sam/Jess. I love stories where they are comfortable and in love with each other. Sigh.

Rebecca Traister on Dana Scully in "The X-Files" | Salon Arts & Entertainment
In an entertainment world where women are disappearing from multiplexes, we need to remember that there was once a very short heroine who hunted monsters who kicked ass and questioned her faith, who didn't want to believe, but opened herself nonetheless

I guess this is comicsverse, but oh, it works even if, like me, you've only seen the movie. Fifteen years on, Pepper can still surprise him. Oh, Tony.

She didn't say it anymore, not after Zak (and Lee). She was afraid to let the words slip out. Too much happiness would invite the jealousy of the Gods. Kara and Sam and making their marriage work on New Caprica. Lovely and heartbreaking. Nails Kara

Kay Howard is a detective. Even before she’s a woman or a friend or a fuck, she’s a detective. It’s who she is, it’s what she is. She won’t apologize for it, and she doesn’t regret it. Great look at Kay, really nails her character, though the story itself is AU.
