I told a few people I would rec some IM fic, and since I can't do anything by halves here's a huge rec list of all the fic I've found so far that I really like (Gen, Tony/Pepper, Tony/Rhodey, etc.), plus a list of all the IM movie fandom lj communities I've found, and a couple of comics canon…

His brother is leather and talismans and sweat and gunsmoke, and that’s just not who he is anymore. Sam at Stanford, trying to remake himself as normal. Chilling and sad.

And without the camera’s evidence, it is Mr. Stark's word against his when he suggests that this was in fact a "tender life-changing moment" between Mr. Stark and his creation and Ms. Potts and Lt. Col. Rhodes could "never understand their love."

Sam's laptop is possessed. Hilarity ensues.

Tony Stark in all his charming yet dysfunctional glory, with Jarvis, Rhodey, Happy, and Pepper along for the ride. This made my heart so happy. *sigh*

"It's not actually a compliment. You know that, right?" Ouch. Sharp look at Tony (and Pepper) that lays bare his insecurities and cuts like a knife.

Tony and Pepper go to Target. Hilarity ensues. Seriously adorable.

Lovely remix of Salvation Lets Their Wings Unfold, from John's perspective. I really like the John/Mary here, and also the way she uses repetition and narrative in the story - this is a story about telling stories, and how they limn the truth.

Really interesting take on Mary, and how Sam and Dean are like her. Nicely done.

How Pepper Potts got her job. Really captures the humdrum horror of jobhunting, Pepper's personality, and her sparky dynamic with Tony. Lovely.

Hot, sad Kara/Natalie.

This is full of flirty, bantery UST, but it takes a nice turn for the serious in the middle - Tony would come up with that joking-but-not-really solution, and Pepper would be tempted. Lovely.
