Really fantastic crossover with "American Gods" - captures the feel of the book really well. Mr. Nancy and the nameless Trickster bet and speculate about the Winchesters, who don't realize they've caught the eye of some older gods.

"They do have traditions and rituals, a shared history, a purpose to their days and nights. They are a nation-state of two, with a language and culture entirely their own." Beautiful, achy, quiet snapshots of life on the road and how they've made it home.

Luke and Lorelai give it another whirl. I really like how this story captures the anxiety underlying Lorelai's quick and witty banter.

Gorgeous, lyrical, heartbreaking. Zoe, while they're repairing Serenity after Miranda. Have tissues handy.

"A little help getting my face off your carpet?" "I like your face on my carpet." Really excellent Daria/Jane story featuring a drunken hookup and its aftermath. The voices are perfect. Sweet and wry and funny.

What's so irritating about this casual slap at daughters is the sense that the makers of the film didn't really mean it.

I really enjoyed this story about how Sarah Blake takes up hunting, and how badly Sam responds to that, and why. It rings really true to me. And Dean is awesome, as always.

Dean can't sleep. Heartbreaking and believable snapshot of John with young Dean.

Achy and warm first kiss post-Mystery Spot. Lovely.

Once upon a time, a boy set out on a quest to save his brother. Fantastic crossover with Sandman - gets the tone of it just right, and Death especially is spot-on. (implied Wincest)

Spot-on coda for Mystery Spot, with Sam freaking out and Dean trying to figure out why and how to fix it. Also, Dean tells one of my favorite stories ever.

"It's not the pain of it that gets to him. Not the fact that he spent that time in limbo, or the memory of what it was like to only need a room with one bed. It's the fact that, in that reality, there was a life after Dean." Haunting and lovely. (wincest)

Sequel to Ridin' Out the Storm. But this—this feels right, to be there for Ben like he was there for Dean. The cost doesn’t matter a bit. Sam, Ben and Bobby, the first post-pulse winter and werewolves. Lovely.

AU post-Devil's Trap; John and Dean are gone, in 2009, Sam finds Ben (who looks just like Dean except for that weird barcode tattoo on his neck), and takes him in. Interesting, sad. The only thing a wolf-cub can grow up to be is a wolf.

Quiet, bittersweet look at a relationship John has over the years that provides him with some comfort, from the OFC's POV. Nicely done.
